For days spent on quiet, windswept sands, Goswick Beach (5 miles) is a real treat for enthusiastic walkers, beach-loving dogs, and keen golfers will love the scenic golf course. Head to Holy Island (12 miles) to venture across its tidal causeway and be welcomed by Lindisfarne Castle, bird-rich landscapes and lovely beaches, as well as a fascinating look into Viking history. Explore the stunning landscapes and history at Bamburgh Castle (17 miles), where pristine beaches and the magnificent castle are sure to enchant. Alternatively, cross the Scottish Border to explore Eyemouth and St. Abbs seaside villages.
