We were a little apprehensive about this stay because there were no previous reviews, however we really enjoyed our stay at this remote property and were surprised to find an en-suite shower room in the main bedroom (even though the shower door was broken and had to be repaired the next day). The views are fabulous. The turning into the gravel drivRead moree is very sharp from the Keswick direction and needed a reversing turn to get around which was difficult in the deep gravel. There was a useful welcome pack upon arrival with tea bags, ground coffee, cookies, milk (sterilised) and sugar. The property was very clean. There was no mobile signal for Voda or EE but good wireless internet. The large TV had the major streaming services but no aerial for broadcast programmes so remember to bring login details. One of the pillows needs replacing (luckily we had brought our own) and although there was a new iron we couldnt find an ironing board. Good outside furniture (no bbq) and nice garden although the steps down to a little wooden bridge over a stream was inaccessible due the bramble. Very close to many mountain bike trails but a car is needed to get to shops pubs etc. Hide
