Just 5 miles from this beautiful family home is the quaint village of Kirkmichael where you will find a small village shop perfect for stocking up on supplies for your stay. From the doorstep, you can explore a plethora of walking trails over the hills, moorland and hill lochs and in the nearby villages on Glenisla and Glenshee - you can even try your hand at some rock climbing and canoeing at the centres nearby. Blairgowrie is a 20-minute drive away and is a great place to spend the day shopping, enjoying good food and is also home to some beautiful wildlife such as osprey, beavers and swans.

At the heart of this mansion house is a beautiful modern kitchen/dining room with a delightful Aga and large oval dining table perfect for mealtimes with all of the family.  A light and bright feel fills the traditional and classic rooms of this home, particularly in the sitting room where stunning views can be admired from the bay window whilst relaxing by the open fire. Downstairs, you will also find a snug room, as well as a boot room/utility room perfect for towelling down wet dogs and for keeping mucky clothes after exploring, and a WC. The spacious bedrooms span across two floors, with the first floor being home to two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom, and the second is home to a further double bedroom and a twin bedroom – both with exceptional views across the countryside.

Outside, there is a lovely enclosed garden area perfect for your canine companions, and a playhouse perfect for younger children to explore and enjoy. This property is also situated on The Borland and Whitehouse Estate which includes a hill farm, home to highland cattle, belted Galloways and Hebridean sheep that are sure to delight all of the guests.  An electric car charging point is also available for use.

Absolutely fabulous holiday cottage, spacious, clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. Plenty of activities within easy reach, good walks, wonderful scenery. Dog friendly. We loved our stay there.

Beautiful countryside estate! The house is comfortable and spacious. The property owners are responsive and friendly. We loved every moment of our stay there and wish we could have stayed longer.

Blacklunans is an ideal property for a family stay. Cost and comfortable and fabulously equipped. We particularly loved the AGA. It is ideally placed to be near lovely walks and places to explore. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend it.

The house is located in peaceful and beautiful surroundings. It is very comfortable and spacious, even for 10 people. We loved it. In terms of location, there are no tourist attractions nearby and the nearest decent supermarket was 30 minutes away by car. The Whitehouse is a wonderfully, well equipped house and ideal for a family gathering. The location has plenty to offer, with lots of walks from the front door. Red squirrels in the garden and our grandson loved the geese and chickens patrolling the adjacent farmyard. Overall the location albeit a bit off the beaten track was amazing! Old but charming, could do with a bit more updating but I think in time this may happen. We loved the AGA in the kitchen and because of the heat from it we all gravitated towards this room. The children loved it too...
