Property code: OC-82297

This lovely lodge is nestled close to the banks of the splendid Loch Leven, where you can enjoy a boat trip over to the tiny island on the Loch, home of the historic Loch Leven Castle where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned in 1567, until her escape 11 months later. The loch is also a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, being home to RSPB Loch Leven centre, part of the word-famous Loch Leven National Nature Reserve, which is one of Europe’s most significant sites for birds. Explore the Loch Leven Heritage Trail with an 11-mile circular route and anglers can enjoy trout fishing at Loch Leven. Golfers will be delighted with an array of local courses, with the world-renowned Gleneagles and The Old Course within easy reach.

Step inside this lovely detached single-storey lodge into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Relax in the comfortable lounge area after a day out exploring the beautiful local area and enjoy a great movie on the TV, or just sit back and admire the bonnie glen views. There are also French doors in the lounge leading directly out to the balcony. Cook up a storm in the kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. Next is the comfortable dining area for romantic or family gatherings. Continuing to the rear of the lodge, there is a pretty double bedroom and a cosy twin bedroom, both with ample storage space. Completing the accommodation is the shower room, with shower and WC.

Venturing outside there is a balcony with seating area for al fresco dining and lazy evening stargazing perhaps with a wee dram, good local ale, or nice glass of wine. Bike storage and a washing machine are available. There is ample off-road parking available at the side of the lodge.

Lovely lodge in a great location adjacent to Loch Leven, direct access to Loch footpaths. Really well equipped. Lovely cafe on site, wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Quite close to main road so if your not used to road noise it can be bothersome..

Lodge is lovely. Beautiful views of farmland and hills - although no view of the loch from the lodge. Some noise from main road at the back of the lodge but really enjoyed our stay. Surrounding countryside is stunning.

A very clean and well presented lodge, the only disturbance is the road noise, otherwise it is incredibly peaceful.
