This harbour front property, originally a fisherman’s cottage, is situated just a short stroll to the nearest beach in the picturesque village of Findochty. Take a stroll along the harbour or enjoy a refreshment on the harbour front. Take a boat trip to spot the famous Moray Firth Dolphins and stunning coastal scenery. There are great golf courses nearby and fabulous walks and cycle routes, allowing you to appreciate the unspoilt beauty of the area, or relax on one of the sandy beaches along the coastline. Sample the delights of the malt whisky trail, explore Aberdeenshire’s magnificent Castle Trail or enjoy a family day out at the MacDuff Aquarium. The town of Buckie is also just along the coast.

Stepping into the property you will be pleasantly surprised by the decor that suits its traditional style and seaside location. The hallway has space for coats and shoes and to the left of here you will find the cosy lounge, with comfy seating to relax in after a day out exploring the area, catch up with a programme or film on the Smart TV, DVD or read one of the many books provided. Opposite the lounge is the well-equipped kitchen/diner, to prepare your favourite meals with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine and tumble dryer. A few steps and a low door lead up from the kitchen area to the rear patio. Enjoy your meals at the dining table whist taking in the breath-taking sea views and watch the boats coming in and out of the harbour. When your day is done take the cottage-style steep narrow stair case to the first floor where you will find the two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both boasting lovely sea views and spectacular sunsets highlighting the Caithness hills in the background, there is also a small study area in between the two rooms. The bathroom with shower over bath and WC completes the accommodation.

Stepping outside the cottage there are sea views from the front, where you can watch the activity in the harbour. The main access to the rear garden is by the gate at the side of the house, this is the perfect suntrap with a tiered south facing patio with table and chairs to enjoy al fresco dining in the evening sunshine, and a summer house which can be a haven in the chillier weather. For us both, the cottage was as perfect as we could have expected, in that this was our second stay at the property. Some people might be pedantic and say certain home comforts were not there, but both of us actually felt the property was our home and hopefully this is reflected on the way we treated the property. a perfect cottage for 4, with beautiful view of the harbour and if you are lucky gorgeous sunsets. It is very well equipped and the beds are really comfortable. We went to sleep to the sound of the sea and woke in the morning to the sound of the Eider ducks in the harbour. It was really handy for visiting Spey Bay, Findhorn Bay and a number of RRead moreSPB reserves as well as the Cairngorms. We walked to BowFiddle Rock which is definitely worth a visit. The Admirals pub within a 5 minute walk serves good value for money meals and view of the sea. Hide

We loved our stay at the Beach House in Findochty. It is extremely well equipped and comfortable. It's location right by the harbour is great for sunsets, bird and boat spotting and for taking a cuppa to a harbour side bench and taking it all in. You walk straight out on to the coastal path and we enjoyed excellent walking in the area. We'd recommeRead morend a hike up The Bin Of Cullen, and walking to Cullen and back. Fantastic location. The house has everything you would need and was really cosy and comfortable. There was a lovely small patio at the back which was a lovely, private suntrap. There was a restaurant/pub about 3 mins walk which served excellent food. Will certainly stay there again.

This is a lovely, airy, spacious cottage which is excellently decorated, extremely clean and has all the facilities one might reasonably require. The location of the cottage is amazing - right opposite the harbour with lovely views at all times of day. The village is quiet and friendly. I would definitely go back.
