This getaway is perfectly positioned in the quiet little crofting township of Camuscross on the Sleat Peninsula in the southern part of Skye. The village is full of rural charm with its single-track road that curls prettily around the coastline offering wonderful valley and countryside scenery. The cottage is within walking distance of small and secluded sandy bays, a wonderful spot for walking the dogs, and the popular local restaurant and bar with its cosy lounge and crackling log fire where you can enjoy a dram of award-winning Gaelic whiskies and gins. On entering this beautiful home, step into the handy porch where you will find the washing machine, and space to leave your outdoor boots and shoes. The porch leads into the kitchen/diner, which is fully equipped to cook up a storm with an electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher. Set the table and enjoy a family meal whilst planning your next adventures. Follow the hall through to the delightful and welcoming lounge which features a traditional wood burner. Relax on the comfortable sofas after a day out exploring and watch a movie on the Smart TV or play a board game. This was a lovely place to stay and in a good position to visit other areas of Skye. It was spacious and well equipped and very cosy, with the log burner quickly warming the place on a cool evening. The owner was great at communication and quickly solved a small issue with the WiFi. A good find!

Perfect location for us, in the Sleat Peninsula, with easy access to Broadford for shops and the excellent Shellfish Shack. Great dog walks and wonderful views abound, though not from this comfortable property. Terrific friendly bar/restaurant down the road at the Eilean Iarmain. The cottage was spotlessly clean, quality bed linen, excellent showerRead more and a very comfortable reclining sofa. The garden is not fully enclosed but our dogs enjoyed the outside space. No freezer (ice box in fridge). Hide

Cottage was clean, cozy, and located within walking distance of a lovely inn and pub where we had fresh seafood right off the historic pier outside. Lots of great stuff within short driving distance (distillery 7 minute drive away, coffee shop and store 5 minute drive away). The rest of Skye very accessible from the Sleat peninsula where cottage isRead more located. We appreciated the wood burning stove, even in July (we had a couple of 9 degree C nights)! Camus Cottage is in an excellent location, being a short walk from both a beautiful bay and a pub/restaurant. It is well equipped, clean and spacious and has a lovely garden. Although it is a distance from the main tourist attractions it has beautiful walks and points of interest nearby and is far less busy than the more well trodden areas.

Cottage is lovely but be aware if you take pets as the surrounding fence is not secure.

Excellent cottage. Clean and fully equipped. In a wonderful location which was quiet and picturesque. Our dog loved his morning walk down to the bay and we loved the short walk to the pub for something to eat. We will be back!
