Quietly situated in the Aberdeenshire village of Clatt, at the heart of the village stands the Auld Kirk dating back to 500AD. A place of great historical interest and worth a visit. You will have the opportunity to meet the resident ducks, horses and hens, as well as enjoying the strawberries and raspberries grown on the farm. Explore the Bennachie Forest and the Bennachie Hills on a series of fine walking trails where you can enjoy some fabulous views over Aberdeenshire. The Gordon Way trail is great for wildlife spotting. Visit many famous castles, battlegrounds, ruins and ancient monuments. However, for those wishing to take it a little easier there is plenty of opportunity for the fisherman to enjoy a peaceful cast or golfers to tee off. Whether it's walking, biking, touring or just relaxing it can all be enjoyed in one of the prettiest areas of Scotland.

Stepping inside this delightful conversion situated next door to the owner’s property; although your privacy is assured. You are welcomed by the spacious porch, the perfect place to take off your outdoor clothing and walking boots. Continuing through to the hallway, you will find the shower room with shower and WC. A spacious bedroom with single bed and a futon. Leading from the hallway is the stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, as you enter the well-equipped kitchen area there is an electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge with ice compartment. Moving into the dining area there is a dining table with chairs, for the family to enjoy meals together. Entering the lounge area there is a TV surrounded by comfy seating where you can relax, from here there is a patio door leading to the rear garden. Back through the hallway the stairs lead to the first floor where you will find two double bedrooms and the bathroom with bath and WC.

Outside from the lounge patio door is an enclosed garden with seating area, BBQ and a chimenea. Beyond the enclosed garden there is a large grassed area where the family can enjoy a game of football or rounder's. Through the gate you are taken to the BBQ hut with charcoal BBQ and seating area, ideal for al fresco dining. There is ample off-road parking to the front of the property. There is also a dog kennel available to leave your four-legged friend for a few hours.

We loved our stay here. Its a very large space and we were so comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. Its so peaceful and we loved being on the farm. Location is great for exploring many things all within about a one hour drive or less. Our host was so friendly and helpful and left us lots of welcoming goodies. Owners very friendly and welcoming, the welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The cottage was lovely, very peaceful, comfortable and clean with good central heating when weather was cold. Beautiful comfortable cottage. Warm welcome from the owners and tasty goodies left for us . The cottage is spotlessly clean , the beds comfortable . Highly recommended.

a beautiful cottage with lots of space and wonderful surroundings. Everything we needed for a relaxing break. Kids enjoyed the ducks and horses, and the use of the outside space. A great holiday cottage and respectful owners.

Really lovely cottage in a beautiful quiet spot. Our dogs enjoyed the outdoor safely enclosed large garden and exercise field. Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, lovely outdoor seating area.
