I would say that ideally you would enjoy your stay more at this well appointed property if you had a car. There are buses -usually at hourly intervals - which run between Leven and St Andrews. We very much enjoyed our relaxing break. The bed was very comfortable - albeit rather narrower than were used to and the gap between wall and bed rather tighRead moret - but we slept very well. On the whole good use had been made of the space in the apartment which was beautifully decorated to a seaside theme. Thank you for the use of the binoculars. That was a considerate touch which enabled us to enjoy the amazing views. We found using the bar stools difficult and they got in the way of the door. Many local eating places are open only at certain times of the week. We managed to find reasonable lunches in Anstruther and Pittenweem. I would not recommend a stay here to all my friends as most are elderly and the stairs are tricky - e.g. the rope handrail and the right-angled turn. Most would also feel safer with a walk-in shower. A younger, fitter couple would have no problems with any of this. Hide

Fishermans Loft is a great place to stay, it has the most amazing view over the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock. Everything we needed was provided. The bathroom is big with a great bath/shower. A very comfortable double bed and we found it to be very quiet overnight. We arrived home feeling very chilled!

Apartment tired and shabby. Lovely views from window spoiled by inappropriate furniture. Bedroom cramped - mattress sagged. Stairs to apartment very steep. Parking an issue at times.

We had a truly unique stay at the Fishermans Loft. The location is exceptional right on the harbour with stunning views and a sense of peace thats hard to find elsewhere. What really set it apart was the opportunity to watch dolphins from the property, an unforgettable experience. Birdlife is abundant too we spotted Gannets, Oystercatchers, CurleRead morews and Sandpipers. The East Pier restaurant is opposite and would recommend booking a table there. Also youre on the Fife Coastal path. Hide

A quaint fisherman's cottage, with amazing views across the bay. We even saw the dolphins swim by! The cottage was extremely clean and well presented. The nautical detail and paintings made the cottage feel very welcoming. Perfect for coastal walks and exploring Fife
