This lovely property nestles on the edge of the stunning Loch Arkaig and makes a fantastic getaway for guests seeking tranquillity and peace. The historic village of Spean Bridge (13 miles) features a shop, hotel, restaurants and golf course, or you could head into the bustling town of Fort William (17.5 miles) with its wide range of shops, leisure facilities and places to eat and drink. Surrounded by dramatic landscapes with spectacular mountains and sparkling lochs, this is a marvellous base for exploring the beautiful Glen Dessary estate (12 miles). Local landmarks include Ben Nevis (24 miles), Loch Lochy (15 miles), Laggan Locks (21 miles) and Steall Waterfall (23.5 miles).

 

On entering this sympathetically renovated single-level cottage, you will find the light and fresh double-height lounge. This attractively furnished and decorated room is a lovely space to relax in, with plenty of comfortable seating, a TV, DVD player and a traditional wood burner. The spacious kitchen/diner is perfect for sharing your favourite family meals, with the kitchen being fully equipped with a dishwasher, double larder fridge, freezer, hob and oven, microwave and washing machine/dryer. Exploring further, the cottage has three cosy bedrooms: a double room with an en-suite bathroom complete with a shower over the bath, and two twin rooms – one with child-size beds. There's also a shower room.

 

Heading outside, you can unwind in the large enclosed garden which features a patio with garden furniture so you can sit back and enjoy an al fresco meal at the end of great day while admiring the beautiful landscapes. There's also a handy external drying room with useful boot warmers.

Can't fault the place ,nice comfy beds a well equipped kitchen an all round lovely place to stay surrounded by nature.

What a lovely place to stay. Everything had been thought of. Very clean and tidy, lovely views and surroundings.

Very well equipped and comfortable. We saw the deer on several days. Nice to walk down to the loch, sadly no osprey sightings. Be mindful that the closest food shop is along way away so ensure you stock up before arriving. All in all a very peaceful stay.

Lovely cottage and location, our dog loved swimming in the loch. Peaceful week.
