Perched right next to the famous Lake Windemere, this is a superb setting for exploring the lakes, enjoying close proximity to Grasmere (5.5 miles) and Keswick (17 miles). Your first activity being right on your doorstep, Lake Windemere, where you can get involved with a variety of water sports, from paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing and wakeboarding to name a few. In Ambleside itself, you'll find an array of local pubs, restaurants, cafes, and shops. From here, you can easily explore the charming village of Grasmere, visit the renowned Gingerbread Shop, and enjoy the various dining and shopping options in Windermere. The scenic Langdale Valley, only 3 miles away, and the picturesque Elterwater Tarn offer great opportunities for walking and exploring without needing a car. Between Ambleside and Windermere, you can also discover the grounds of Brockhole (2.5 miles), perfect for picnicking or trying your hand at tree canopy abseiling.

Climbing up the stairs to this penthouse apartment, you are instantly welcomed by the open-plan living space with the lounge space featuring Indian marble floors with rugs and plush seating. It’s a perfect area for getting friends and family together, whilst taking in the extraordinary views. Leading through to the dining room and kitchen you can enjoy dining together over a family meal whilst planning your days of adventure. Across the corridor, move through to the bedrooms, with the master double offering lakefront views and an en-suite full marble shower room. There is also a double with panoramic, lakefront views and a third bedroom with a single bed, each wonderfully appointed. The adjoining family shower room makes for the perfect space to revitalise in the shower.

Directly outside the entrance to the apartments you have Lake Windermere on your doorstep, where you can use the slipway and private jetty to access the lake. Within a moment's walk, you have a superb selection of places to eat and drink, including Ambleside town centre nearby. Hop on board the Windermere steamers to Bowness-on-Windermere and Lakeside, running each day on a regular timetable, offering a chance to view the surroundings from a different perspective. Parking can be found to the rear of the property.

I would recommend to a friend but would tell them of the few misdemeanours we encountered. we had to get in touch with the owner a few times and he was very helpful & concerned to put things right.

Great location for taking advantage of the lake and as a base for walks, amazing views across the lake. The flat is on the third floor though so be prepared for the stares. We had a great week here.

This should be a fantastic place to stay with a superb location and views over the lake. However, at the time of staying it was let down by extremely worn out mattresses resulting in uncomfortable nights.

What can I say? I never liked the idea of staying in an apartment for a holiday, and despite being on the top floor, all I can say is that this apartment is amazing. The view from the main window is its biggest feature with a lot of space to relax after a long day. Having the jetties opposite was a great bonus and it was only a mile into Ambleside.Read more With walks a plenty right from the doorstep, this is a great location to explore the fells! Fantastic property! We loved staying here for the access to the Watersports Hire at the YHA and the boat hire at Waterhead. The local Wateredge Inn was great value for money for a family of 4. This property gave us the perfect mix of peaceful mornings and evenings on the lake with a little hustle and bustle throughout the day. Several times we walkRead moreed into Ambleside too. Some great running / walking routes direct from the front door. Missing the incredible views from the panoramic window already! Hide

Fantastic location! Amazing views! Enjoyed the beautiful sunsets over the lake. Very handy for the pier and the boats on Windermere. A lot of nice places to eat just a short stroll from the apartment.
