Discover the impressive views of Helvellyn (7 miles), the third highest peak in England, and the surrounding fells. A mile away a pub beckons serving local ales. Venture 3 miles to the village of Pooley Bridge, here you find riverside coffee shops, pubs, a restaurant, independent stores, a bookshop and an off license, a post office and tourist information centre. From here you can take in the magnificent scenery from the water when onboard one of Ullswater steamers to Howtown or Glenridding. Just 12 miles away lies RSPB Haweswater, where you might spot red squirrels, ring ouzels, and mountain ringlet butterflies. For a more leisurely day indulge in a spa day at the local hotel less than a mile away.

Overlooking a pond and open countryside. This shepherd's hut ascends four steps to the covered seating area, leading to the charming bespoke bedroom and living space. You will find a raised double bed, wood-panelled walls, and quaint wooden shutters that gracefully close over the windows, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. Designed as a perfect haven for relaxation, the hut boasts quirky features like a copper pipe radiator and an en-suite shower room.
