Escape to this cosy couple’s retreat, perfect for discovering a tranquil part of the magical Sussex countryside. This characterful retreat has been named in honour of a former resident – the farm’s very own bull. Today, it’s a very beautiful countryside getaway. The peaceful village of West Chiltington is a one mile stroll to the south, with a friendly pub and historic church, offering miles of breathtaking walks and cycling trails towards the magnificent South Downs (2 miles). The surrounding area offers a wealth of fascinating landmarks and popular attractions, including Knepp Castle, Bignor Roman Villa, Parham House, Leonardslee Gardens and Petworth House, all within 13.5 miles. Nature lovers can head to RSPB Pulborough Brooks (4 miles) and the Wetlands Centre at Arundel (13.5 miles). For a day by the sea, the charming seaside resort of Worthing is within easy reach (15 miles).

Situated next to a gated courtyard on a 200-acre working livestock farm, this delightful single-level retreat offers a warm welcome. Inside, the light and stylish lounge/kitchen/diner features a traditional vaulted ceiling with exposed timber beams, adding atmosphere and character. The room also retains original stone walls, providing a nod back to the building’s rich agricultural heritage. With a TV and plenty of cosy seating, the lounge is an ideal space for you both to unwind in after an exhilarating day. A central dining table is perfect for sharing a meal together, and the beautifully organised kitchen has a wealth of equipment, storage and workspace. Heading through, the tastefully arranged bedroom has a lovely king-size bed set beneath the stunning beamed ceiling, alongside a handy en-suite shower room.

Stepping outside, a sweet patio area in the shared courtyard features comfortable garden furniture, creating an ideal spot for dining alfresco and taking in the panoramic views across the South Downs. Private parking is available for one car, and there’s a convenient shared utility area with a washer and dryer.
