This spacious property for four is set in the heart of Wells – England’s smallest city. Easily explored on foot, Wells offers a delightful mix of independent boutiques, cosy cafes, traditional pubs, excellent restaurants, and an artisan deli, along with its twice-weekly markets. Don’t miss the awe-inspiring cathedral and the historic Bishop’s Palace. Beyond the city, visit Glastonbury (6 miles), famous for its iconic Tor and Abbey Ruins, or Bruton (12 miles) with its vibrant mix of shops and dining spots. For natural wonders, head to the caves of Wookey Hole (2 miles) or take in the dramatic landscapes of Cheddar Gorge (10 miles). Other highlights within easy reach include the historic city of Bath (20 miles) and Clarks Village (7.5 miles) for outlet shopping. To the north of Wells lie the Mendip Hills, a National Landscape where scenic footpaths wind through rolling countryside, including the West Mendip Way and the Monarch’s Way.

This private and elevated plot boasts lovely views over the garden, which you will wander through on arrival. The brick steps lead up to the entrance, which opens into a welcoming hallway. On your right is a light and bright lounge, which includes a wood burner, Smart TV, and a bay window with a seat, where you can plan your day with a view over the garden and to the spire beyond. Just across the hall is a spacious king-size bedroom, again with a window seat where you can tuck up with a good book or watch the Smart TV. In the centre of the property is a contemporary shower room with WC, and the kitchen, which is well-equipped with all you need to prepare your favourite meals. Pause with a coffee at the breakfast table or walk on through to the conservatory, where you’ll find a dining table, flame-effect gas fire and patio doors to the terrace. From this room or the inner hallway, you can also reach the additional king-size bedroom, which has its own en-suite shower room with WC, plus an air filtration system (which runs throughout the property), and Smart TV.

Heading outside, the well-stocked garden is the ideal spot to relax. A true oasis in the city, there is a delightful patio with furniture and a charcoal BBQ, plus bench seating. A path leads down to the parking area, which is gated and provides space for two cars.

My Mum and her dog and myself ( for the days I stayed too ) had a lovely stay at Spire view. Mum was looking for a relaxing and peaceful break away in lovely surroundings and Spire View ticked all the boxes. The accomadation was lovely with everything provided that you needed and more.A very well equipped kitchen and added extras of a bbq with aRead morell the tools and charcoal etc.The whole house was well equipped with lovely bedrooms and a lounge , kitchen diner and a conservatory. The outside space was very relaxing too with lots of lovely areas to sit out in and lovely flowers to look at and some views. .In the heat it was an added bonus to have areas in the garden that received shade at different times of the day.A lovely garden table with chairs, cushions and a lovely easy to use parasol. It was very quiet and peaceful. There is a shop just down the road and walks from the door for dogs . Also secure parking on the driveway. Wells is easily reachable on foot and is a beautiful city. We met the owners and they were very friendly and helpful . A very lovely property in a lovely location. Hide

The cottage was really well equipped. Finished to a very high specification. Lounge was very comfortable and kitchen extremely well equipped. Plenty of storage space in kitchen and bedrooms. Beds also comfortable. Gorgeous garden to front and side of property and plenty of garden furniture for anyone who wished to sit outside.
