The cottage-style stairs rise from the lounge and lead to a pretty bedroom with a king-size bed. The en-suite bathroom has a free-standing roll-top bath with shower attachment and WC.

Heading outside to the rear enclosed courtyard, there is room to sit and enjoy the sunshine with a bistro-style table and chairs. A gate from the courtyard allows you to bring dogs, bikes, surfboards or buggies into the rear courtyard. There is allocated off-road parking for one car.

The cottage is the most endearing one ever. As we were there the week before Christmas, we had a Christmas tree and a bottle of cava. We have been staying at this cottage three times, and it will not be the last. We can't wait until next year

A cosy cottage with a lovely feel, log burner and thoughtful extras provided by the owner. Lots of local walks but in a village with 2 pubs, a store, cafe/deli, bakery, several other interesting shops, and a takeaway. A good location for visiting South and North Devon. Perfect for us and our dog!

Stayed in October, weather not on our side, but when we got out, the walks listed were great and easy to follow. Parking a few steps away and unloading easy thanks to Steve's instructions, lovely greeting and ideas of where to eat, and a lovely treat left for us. Lils cottage is comfortable and well-equipped, with everything you need. Chulmleigh is a friendly place and the cottage is in a perfect location with an easy walk to pubs and shops. Its easy to park a minute away with a space on Steve, the owners property, and Steve himself is friendly and helpful. We had a lovely week and would happily return.

A lovely home from home cottage, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Kind and thoughtful touches like a Christmas tree for the festive season, wine and chocolates, not to mention the very generous supply of logs for the woodburner. A helpful and generous host too - thank you!
