Situated on the Devon/Cornwall border, you will be perfectly placed to explore both counties. Roadford Lake is a short drive away and offers fishing, walking and sailing activities. The market towns of Holsworthy, Launceston and Okehampton are all within an easy driving distance. Other places of interest accessible from here include the historic maritime city of Plymouth, the Eden Project and numerous National Trust properties and gardens.

Venture inside this delightful converted barn and into the fabulous open-plan living space. Here, comfortable sofas are arranged in front of a Smart TV and warming wood burner-effect gas fire and provide the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring. Beyond the sofas, a dining table and chairs offer a lovely spot for relaxed family meals and the inclusion of a set of French doors leading to outside also means that you can dine alfresco with ease during warm weather. The country-style kitchen is also perfectly appointed and equipped with a great range of appliances including a gas oven and hob, microwave and fridge with an ice compartment. Head back towards the rear of the property where you will find the rest of the accommodation handily arranged on the same level but separated by a couple of steps. In addition to the facilities in the kitchen, there is also an undeniably useful utility/boot room with a WC, coat/boot storage, washing machine, tumble dryer and also a freezer. Making this a great option for small families as well as just a couple are the two cosy bedrooms, the first offering a king-size bed and a TV and the second a single bed. Completing the offering inside the property is a contemporary shower room with WC.

Heading outside, you will then discover the gorgeous enclosed decked garden area which has been thoughtfully dressed with a selection of planted pots and includes garden furniture and a BBQ. Here you can soak up the sun without having to venture far from the front door or just enjoy a pre-dinner drink whilst taking in the fresh countryside air. The Byeways was really comfy and clean we had a very relaxing holiday there. Welcome goodies we're very thoughtful. You do need a car to get around it being a rural location. We like to do a lot of cooking and found there was not enough work top area for us also we found the enclosed garden was not big enough for our dogs to run about.

Excellent property. Lots of natural light and windows can open fully or at an angle so really enjoyed the flow of air. The underfloor heating made it nice and snugly as nights drew in. If you enjoy exploring (beach, heritage) and walking (multiple forestry walks) then this is an ideal base. Lovely and quiet with very low road traffic and some greatRead more local villages. Hide

A well maintained comfortable property with a lovely homely feel and a great enclosed safe space for our dogs. The road alongside the property is not busy but the local traffic races along very fast, we did not feel safe to walk along here. You will need a car to access any local amenities.

So far away from amenities, shop for food or eating out , very cold bedroom, so isolated you real need to make sure you take food and drink with you , at least for when you arrive

Well layed out Barn, everything you need is there. Enjoyed a few hours sitting on deck in sunshine. Dogs enjoyerd their break, handy enclosed paved area. Local traffic flies along the Lane, way too fast so be careful when out walking. Well worth the cost charged.

Comfortable and well equipped cottage. Dog friendly and safe for our Jack Russell who can be an escapologist. A quiet rural spot, and we particularly enjoyed the local pub which has a charm of its own and great food.
