A delightful cottage situated on the owner’s 600 acre farm, in the heart of the Devonshire countryside. The cottage is located just a few miles from Dartmoor National Park, and ten miles from the city of Exeter, with its famous Gothic cathedral, fine art museum, and the unique underground passages which wind under the city and can be accessed by guided tour. Visit Castle Drogo and Fingle Bridge, which are both part of the National Trust property and located within 6 miles from the cottage. For a family day out, Crealy Adventure Park is an easy fifteen-mile drive away. Or for those who want to spend some time at the seaside, the vast sandy beach of Dawlish Warren is within a thirty-minute drive, and is a wonderful place to spend a day building sandcastles, swimming, and playing games.  If golf is more your pursuit, the local golf course is only a 5 minute drive away

This cottage forms part of the main farm building on this 600 acre farm. The upside-down layout means that the two bedrooms occupy the ground floor of the property. The first of these is a restful double room, whilst the other is a bunk bedroom. The shower room here has a WC, whilst there is a second WC in a utility room which also houses the washing machine. The spacious kitchen/diner has a patio doors which lead out to the garden, as well as a dining table and an attractive Welsh dresser. It is equipped with everything that guests will need to make themselves feel at home, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a CD player. A few stairs lead from the kitchen/diner up to the wonderfully cosy lounge, a relaxing space where guests will find comfortable armchairs, a warming woodburner and a TV/DVD.

Outside, there are enclosed gardens to the front and rear of the property, with a BBQ and garden seating from which guests can enjoy the lovely countryside views.

Very beautiful view from the dining room. Very peaceful. Very clean and tidy. Amazing shower, better than what we have at home. Very kind and helpful owners. Would definitely stay again and will recommend to our friends and family. Our son loved watching the tractors from the living room window. Ideal location for day trips out, the longest journeyRead more we had was 50 minutes. Hide

A very clean and comfortable cottage in the heart of farmlife. In springtime the lambs and their mothers and only of few feet away from the patio doors in the kitchen. The farmhouse kitchen is relatively large, very well equipped and easy to keep clean. A great base for visiting Dartmoor. This is the third time we have stayed in the cottage.

This is one of those cottages you decide you want to go back to. A lovely setting on a farm near Dartmoor. The accommodation is substantial, with a good sized living room and kitchen. The owners were friendly and helpful.

We have just returned home from a two week stay and have to say that we had a fantastic time. The cottage is located on a working farm run by two generations of a lovely welcoming family.
