There is so much to see and do within a short drive from the property. Torquay offers a palm-lined promenade, seafront gardens, a lively harbour and an international marina and an abundance of pavement cafes, pubs, restaurants and nightlife. Other places worth a visit include Dartmouth with its busy harbour, castle, upmarket shops and galleries and Teignmouth, an attractive seaside town with a promenade, sandy beach and pier. Family attractions include Crealy Adventure Park, Woodlands Adventure Park, Dartmouth, Totnes and Exeter. Walkers can also benefit from being within reach of Dartmoor National Park. Fancy a game of golf - the local golf course and all its facilities are only a couple of miles from this property.
Upon arrival enter the property into the lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area with 55" TV with Blue Ray DVD and a small library of DVDs and books, wood burner and exposed beams offers the guest the perfect place in which to relax after a day’s exploring. From the lounge, there are French doors leading to the patio area. For the cooks amongst you the kitchen is well-equipped for all your cooking requirements and has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Just off from the kitchen the staircase leads to the first floor where the three bedrooms are located, there is a double with TV and views to the front elevation of the property, a further double and a twin room with views across the front courtyard. The bathroom is also located on the first floor with shower over bath (3/4 size bath) and WC and an additional WC.
Heading outside the rear garden is a great place in which to relax in the evenings with a glass of wine, enjoying a BBQ and taking in the stunning views over the local countryside. The heated indoor swimming pool is open all year (apart from maintenance periods) and is shared with similar properties. For the youngsters in your party, next door to the pool can be found the shared children's play area and games room with pool table (there is a small charge for this), table tennis, table football, Wi-Fi and collection of toys for our younger guests. Within this room, you will also find a coin operated tumble dryer. There is also a shared outdoor play area with swings and climbing frame and off-road parking for two cars within the shared carpark.
The pool is shared between 9 cottages and on the assumption
that all the cottages are fully occupied 46 people would be on site.
In reality the pool is mostly used by children either in the morning or late afternoon and is obviously less busy outside of school holidays and weekends. If the pool is busy when you first try and you leave it for an hour you can often have the pool to yourself and during the day when most people go out it is quieter than either end of the day.
The pool is open from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm but if you are already in the pool lights go off a little later to allow people to get changed.
There is no need to book a time slot and there is no charge for using the swimming pool.
