Nestled within 28 acres of peaceful countryside and enjoying far-reaching views across the stunning Vale of Llangollen, this beautifully converted former hayloft offers the perfect escape for couples, families and four-legged friends. Surrounded by rolling landscapes yet within easy reach of the UNESCO-listed Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, scenic canal walks and the vibrant town of Llangollen, guests can enjoy the best of North Wales from their doorstep. After a day exploring, return to this stylish retreat to unwind in comfort, dine alfresco in the enclosed garden and soak up the tranquillity of this exceptional rural setting. Explore the latter up close with a canal boat trip – perhaps aboard a horse-drawn barge or a narrowboat gliding across the aqueduct’s heights. Those eager for adventure will be thrilled by the abundance of outdoor pursuits nearby. From hiking and mountain biking to white-water rafting and canoeing, this National Landscape has it all. Follow the famous Offa’s Dyke Path on foot or by bike as it loosely traces the picturesque England–Wales border, visit the National Trust’s magnificent Chirk Castle (4 miles), or spend the day in Wrexham (7.5 miles).
Enter the property’s 28-acre gated estate and take in the sweeping views and crisp, fresh air. Set within a converted hayloft, this characterful holiday home combines traditional design elements – exposed beams and turreted ceilings – with modern comfort and touches of luxury. The ground floor features a spacious utility room, ideal for storing outdoor gear or throwing clothes straight into the wash, along with a convenient WC. Head upstairs to the first floor to discover a beautifully appointed open-plan living area. Stylish lighting and elegant furnishings enhance the contemporary kitchen, dining area, and lounge, creating a sociable space for all occasions. The kitchen features a breakfast bar and high stools for casual dining, while a nearby table sets the scene for family meals. After dinner, sink into the plush sofas, and switch on the Smart TV, or perch at the desk to catch up on emails after a day’s exploring. When it’s time to rest, two tranquil bedrooms promise a peaceful night’s sleep. The first is a king-size room with its own Smart TV, separate dressing area, and an en-suite boasting both a bath and a shower. The second is a smaller, yet equally inviting, twin bedroom with a TV, soft linens, a feature window, and an en-suite shower room. The twin beds can be made up as a king-size on request with the owner.
Outside, an enclosed section of the estate’s expansive 28 acres is set aside as your private garden. Complete with decking, steps down to a lower lawn, plenty of outdoor furniture, and a gas BBQ, it’s the perfect spot for sunny days and long evenings outdoors. Beyond your garden, enjoy shared access (with the owners only) to the wider grounds and stables, which offer secure storage for bikes, canoes, and fishing gear. Private parking for two cars is also available on the sweeping driveway.
