This superior former dairy, comprehensively refurbished, sits in peaceful surroundings within the heart of Gower with views across the owner’s lake and fields towards the magnificent Three Cliffs. Gower, the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just waiting to be discovered. Walk through country lanes to the golden sands of Three Cliffs, which is overlooked by the equally beautiful Pennard Castle, a superb area for wildlife watching with wild ponies, birds and sea life. Attractions such as The Gower Heritage Centre, The Mumbles and the array of beautiful beaches and dramatic coastline are all worth a visit. (Please check admittance for the various attractions).

As you enter this wonderful property via the enclosed patio area you will enter the spacious lounge area. This space is truly remarkable with lots of character, warming wood burner and comfy seating for all to enjoy after a busy day exploring. This space is the real heart of the home and the perfect social space to enjoy with family and friends. Leading off the lounge you will find a handy utility room with washing machine and additional fridge. To the left of the lounge you will find a handy storage space perfect for hanging coats and storing your walking boots. Located next to the boot and storage room you will find the cosy snug with TV, seating and a selection of games, the perfect spot to relax with a good book or an added space for all to enjoy. Leading off the lounge and up one step you will enter the spacious kitchen/diner this light and airy space is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge/freezer. There is also an additional TV in this area and handy radio to listen to music whilst you prepare an evening meal. From the kitchen there is an external door leading to the shared courtyard entrance. Off from the lounge you will find the staircase leading to the first floor, the first room you will reach is the spacious and exquisite family bathroom with bath, WC and separate shower, the perfect place to relax and enjoy a hot soak after a busy day exploring. Further along the corridor you will reach the sleeping quarters, to the right a cosy double bedroom with views over the lake and grounds. Directly opposite is the spacious master king-size bedroom with the added luxury of your own private balcony. The balcony has wonderful views over the lake and fields beyond and a great place to enjoy a glass of wine watching the sunset.

Outside there is a rear enclosed patio accessed from the lounge, with garden furniture and BBQ. This sunny retreat leads to the owner’s lake, fields and woodland beyond where you can burn off some energy, all whilst looking out to the magnificent Three Cliffs beach and coastline. There is parking to the rear of the property for two cars.

Amazing cottage. Lots of equipment on offer. Extremely clean and comfortable - especially the beds, linen and towels. Brilliant base for Gower beaches and pubs. Such a peaceful location. Rural and yet 15 minutes to Mumbles. Would recommend.

Such a lovely property. We were a day late in arriving as we had one of our dogs put to sleep due to kidney failure. Steven and Karen were so lovely though, the accommodation is perfect for you and dog(s). The enclosed courtyard is ideal, however the dogs can never be in danger as the property is totally secure. Steve has the answer to everything so speak to him about walks and beaches, he is always out in the grounds finding something to do. The property was in a perfect location to visit all areas in the Gower. this was a beautiful barn conversion with everything you would need and more, plus the welcome pack was an add bonus. What a fabulous place to stay! Our host was welcoming and knowledgeable, the cottage was beautifully presented and equipped with everything you could need and the grounds were a delight to explore. Couldn't recommend more highly!

A wonderful holiday stay in the beautiful rural setting - the wanderings available with woodland and links to Parc. The donkeys and bird life were an extra delight. Amazing Cottage and fantastic holiday. The Willows was a real home from home with everything available that you would need. It was extremely dog friendly with great outdoor spaces for them to run and play. The owner Steve met us on arrival and talked us through everything which was a nice touch. We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage in Ilston. Set in a peaceful place surrounded by beautiful countryside, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cottage is in a quiet rural location but not far to drive to the coast. The enclosed courtyard is great for dogs. The owners are going to replace the stair carpet, do some repairs to bathroom and repair the main bedroom balcony. Which will refresh the cottage.

Everything was excellent in all respects. I would strongly recommend, especiaaly for people with dogs...the courtyard lets them out but is still enclosed and the grounds are ideal for "walkies"!!

The cottage was amazing. It was very clean, comfortable and roomy. It had real character. There was only two of us staying and one dog but would still be comfortable with four people. The surroundings were beautiful and a perfect location for exploring The Gower. The owner, Steve, was very friendly and accommodating.

The Barn is in a lovely setting . The surrounding land /garden was great for our dog. If you stay with children it an adventure land. Three cliffs bay is a must.

A brilliant location if you are visiting the Gower. Stunning beaches are all in easy reach and the barn is very dog friendly with an enclosed courtyard and surrounding gardens. The barn is really comfortable and well equipped. The large kitchen was perfect and there was plenty of comfy seating. Would return again.

Beautifully appointed cottage with great attention to detail. The garden is secure for dogs which is always a plus point for us and the whole cottage is dog friendly. The location is excellent with easy access to all areas of the Gower peninsula (and beyond if you want to travel further from your base).
