We had a fabulous week at Copses, loved the location tucked away off the road, it was very private. Just on the edge of Narberth, about a 10min walk into town, up a pretty steep hill. Large driveway & grass area out the front, but be careful with dogs & children there as nothing to stop them going out the drive onto the road. The house is massiRead moreve it just seems to go on and on! There were only 6 of us & 2 dogs so it felt like we had a wing of the house each! The house was perfect for our needs but it is by no means a luxury stay. It feels like it was built & fitted out on a very tight budget & corners were cut. For example doors & windows not fitting properly, shower curtains on trays rather than screens, no washing line, utility room or outside tap for dealing with dirty/wet shoes, clothes or dogs. We booked last minute & got it massively reduced so were very happy but Id have been very disappointed if Id paid full price. Although if you had the maximum capacity of 16 people I guess it would be good value. I would liken it to a youth hostel. If youre bringing dogs be aware that the garden and wooded area are surrounded by hedges & fences but are not secure at all. I was very worried that our spaniel would escape. We are yet to find a holiday house with truly secure garden though. We always take a stake with us to tether him, but its stressful worrying about him getting out the house, and given the doors dont catch properly & pop open every time another door is opened it would be impossible to contain a dog safely. We decided to risk it & thankfully it seems our spaniel has finally grown up a bit & he only ventured out of the garden into the river once & amazingly returned when called! I know most dogs like our pug would be fine but high prey drive combined with countryside smells & zero brain cells is a recipe for disaster! The beds were very comfy, I have a bad back usually but no back ache all week, bliss! Showers were powerful although not very big, the one in the master room upstairs had quite a low sloping ceiling so youd struggle if youre tall. The kitchen was very well equipped, loads of crockery, cutlery, glasses, mugs etc, also large saucepans so self catering was easy. We couldnt get most of the tvs to work well, the main one in lounge was ok & connected to apps etc but we couldnt get others to. We bought a now tv stick with us & used it in our bedroom. We really like Narberth a lovely little town, with shops, pubs, restaurants & takeaways. We were there during the World Cup & watched a few games in the Dragon, everyone was so friendly & welcoming it was lovely. Plenty of stunning beaches within 30mins drive, we barely scratched the surface. Oh and the house was very hot upstairs, it was unusually hot weather though. We took 2 fans with us & were very glad we did. All in all we had a wonderful week Hide

Excellent venue with adequate crockery, cutlery for 14 people. We liked being able to sit together for meals in the kitchen-diner. The large lounge accommodated everyone in the evening. The smaller lounge by the kitchen was useful during the day, especially for the children. We found plenty to do and visit in the local area.
