Venture down into this lovely seaside town where you'll find an array of shops, cafes, restaurants and miles of golden beach. This is the ideal destination for those who enjoy the sun and surf. Walkers will love striking out along the rugged coastline and if you fancy a longer ramble you can walk to the pretty fishing village of Appledore (3 miles). Also nearby are the towns of Bideford and Instow, the house and gardens of Tapeley Park, The Big Sheep family attraction and World of Wonder soft play (all within 5 miles). Slightly further afield, there is The Milky Way adventure park (9 miles), RHS Rosemoor (11 miles), Dartington Crystal (10 miles) and Clovelly (11.5 miles) which is a harbour village and well known for its steep cobbled main street where donkeys are still used to transport goods to the cottages. Please be aware that the walk back to the property is uphill and may not be suitable for those less mobile, but there are car parks available in town, should you wish to drive.

Step inside this beautifully presented home and find yourself in the hallway that leads into the kitchen/diner. The kitchen has everything you need including an electric oven and a gas hob, a microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee pod machine and a fridge/freezer. The utility houses the washer/dryer. Sit down to tasty home-cooked meals at the dining table that seats up to eight people. There is a WC off the hallway. The lounge area is a cosy place for evenings in with family and friends, featuring big, comfortable sofas, a Smart TV. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, two of which are twins. (with the option to be pushed together if requested, in one of the rooms). There is a double bedroom with glimpses of the sea and the master bedroom has a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room with WC. Also on this floor is the main bathroom with a bath, a walk-in shower and a WC.

The garden can be accessed through the patio doors from the dining room. It is completely enclosed with a lovely lawn for games and a patio where you will be able to BBQ and enjoy warm evenings relaxing and making plans for the next day's adventure. There is parking for two cars and use of the garage to store bicycles and surfboards. The double garage also contains a good quality six foot multitable with pool, (electric fan) air hockey and table tennis, as well as a dart board. Useful additions like spare wellies and bodyboards for kids and adults are also available in the garage.

Superb stay. Lovely house with plenty of room and games room in garage was great. 10 min walk to beach and all shops etc. would 100% recommend a stay and we will book again.

The cottage was a lovely modern detached property on a newish estate, with just a 10 minute walk to an amazing beach. Quite a slog back up as its very steep so just worth noting. There was a lovely secure garden for the doggies and a great games room if you have children. The kitchen was well equipped and the utility room came in very useful on wetRead more days. This is a nice house with lovely equipment and toys. The owners clearly take pride in providing plenty of extras.The downsides however. and I am astonished no one else has mentioned it ...all the floors creak constantly which is very irritating and noisy. Spacious and clean, has everything you need in the kitchen, plenty of children's play items. Good garden seating to enjoy the evenings. The 10 minute walk to the beach is quite steep. Lovely huge beach parking ok with a daily ticket allowing you to come and go during the day.

Clean & comfortable holiday house with excellent dog safe garden. The 10 minute walk to the beach is down a very steep hill so disappointing for us. Instow beach was amazing for dog walks and Appledore an interesting village.

The cottage is beautiful, spacious and well equipped. With 4 adults and 4 children (plus 1 very small dog) it was also surprisingly easy to keep clean. It was conveniently situated closely to Westward Ho! a lovely little holiday village with shops, cafes and restaurants. Check out The Pier Restaurant for good food at reasonable prices. This was our second holiday at Long Beach this year! We liked it so much, we came back. Lovely house, a real home from home. Comfy beds, lots of room for everyone in the lounge and kitchen diner. Great games room. Lovely, quiet area and near to the town without being bothered by noise. Great accommodation. Thank you Long Beach.

We have had a wonderful week at Longbeach despite probably the worst week of rain in Westward Ho! This year LOL the property was easy to find just a couple of minutes off the A39. We felt immediately at home and very comfortable. We made use of the garden the washer/dryer (Only once) and just about everything else. Lovely spacious house very handy for walking to the beach. Comfortable beds and nice bedding. Fully equipped for every need. If anything we thought the kitchen floor could have been cleaner. Managed to find a vacuum cleaner but not very suitable for the vinyl floor covering.

We all absolutely loved the house and it worked really well for 2 adults and 6 children. House is really comfortable, plenty of room, well-equipped and the enclosed garden is lovely. Long Beach is a really lovely holiday home. The house is spacious, very comfortable and well equipped. The garden is a good size too. The house is in a peaceful area but close to all amenities. The games room/garage is great! Ideal for rainy days or just for extra fun. We will definitely return.
