  • Colourful Aberdyfi holiday home set on the seafront opposite the beach
  • Stunning views out across the Dyfi Estuary and beautiful Cardigan Bay
  • Ideal location for coastal walks and family days out in Snowdonia
Property code: OC-DY053

Pack a beach bag and amble straight over the road to the long sandy beach at Aberdyfi from this three-storey cottage, which enjoys an exceptional position within the seaside village. Go swimming, try surfing and even hire a boat to head out and explore the estuary and the bay. Keen walkers might like to attempt part of the Wales Coast Path from the village: try the 4-mile section to Tywyn or even hike 12 miles to Llwyngwril. As you walk along beside Cardigan Bay, look out for the dolphins the area in known for. Aberdyfi sits on the edge of Snowdonia National Park: plan days out here too to go walking, cycling and climbing.

Enter this three-storey holiday home and make yourselves at home. From the hall, wander through into the lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can look out towards the beach and settle down in front of your favourite TV programme for the evening. Head over to the kitchen area to prepare homecooked meals with delicious produce you have bought in Aberdyfi. There is an electric oven and separate grill, separate electric induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher here. Lay the table and gather round for holiday meals. There is also a ground-floor WC. Climb the stairs to the first floor to discover a double bedroom with a TV and sea views, plus a shower room with a shower, WC and handbasin. You’ll find another shower room on the floor above, together with a twin room and another double, which looks out over the beach and sea.

This holiday home has a small yard where you might like to keep your bikes, surfboards and other outdoor equipment. There is no dedicated parking, but guests will be given a permit for the village’s pay and display car parks, and there is one right opposite the house.

Our 4th stay. Great location and very comfortable. Whole place needs a thorough clean when not booked. No hoover for guests. Tired kitchen and various items need replacing. Have reported various other issues to the owner. Would like to see a 2nd car pass as its now 108 for a week. We would book again if everything can be resolved.

Unfortunately this isn't as it seems in the photos, the only rooms that are good & clean are the main bedroom & bathroom. The other rooms play host to broken plaster, dirty & broken blinds, wallpaper coming off, broken mattresses, dirty kitchen, furniture, equipment etc. Not good even for a dog friendly place to stay. We paid over 900 for 5 days & Read moreit's not worth it. On the plus side, the location is good for the beach or day trips and the locals are friendly. Hide

Fantastic location and lovely spacious house. Bathrooms fab. Main bedroom lovely. We spent many an evening sitting watching the sea from there. Lovely local shops within easy reach and railway station not far for days out. Lovely holiday.

Kitchen is not suitable for amount of guests this house accommodates, which is in desperate need of being replaced as mold is growing and falling apart. We loved the house with it's lovely views and really enjoyed being in such close proximity to the beach. We had a baby and 4 year old with us so it was great to be able to pop back from the beach if we needed to .The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well .We were sad to leave .
