This attractive, three-bedroom holiday lodge nestles on the fringes of Dartmoor National Park and just 2 miles from Okehampton, making it the perfect base for friends and families who love the outdoors. The market town of Okehampton offers plenty to keep you entertained, including independent shops, weekly markets, woodland walking trails and even a medieval castle. If you’re short of any outdoor kit ahead of your Dartmoor adventure, find a good choice of active gear shops in town. With the A30 just half a mile away, day trips to some of Devon and Cornwall’s most popular destinations are made easy, including Exeter, Launceston and Bodmin Moor (all within 25 miles). Other attractions nearby include Lydford Gorge, Roadford Lake, the Miniature Pony Centre, and Crealy Adventure Park (all within 20 miles).

Step up from the lawn and on to the decking before entering this welcoming lodge and kicking off muddy walking boots in the hallway. Head on through to the social heart of the property, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is filled with natural light and adorned with creamy tones and stylish decor. Open the glass doors in here to let the fresh Devon air flow in, or on chilly nights, fire up the flame-effect electric fire. Settle in the sumptuous sofas after days of adventure, flicking on the wall-mounted Smart TV for some easy entertainment. When stomachs rumble, find that the well-appointed kitchen space boasts everything needed to whip up a feast for your loved ones, who can gather at the oak dining table inside to enjoy the chef’s work, or alfresco-style out on the decking. When day turns to night, head back into the hallway to find three inviting bedrooms, all of which offer Smart TVs for lazy mornings under the covers. Choose from two welcoming twin rooms served by a well-equipped family bathroom, and a master king-size bedroom with its own en-suite shower room.

Outside awaits a furnished decking space where you can enjoy quiet morning coffees and al fresco dinners together. Relaxation is made easy thanks to the private hot tub here, while convenience is assured thanks to the two private parking spaces next to the lodge. On-site facilities include a pub and restaurant for the nights you don’t fancy cooking.

A lovely cabin with super countryside views and sounds. Clean and well presented besides a few wear and tear scuffs. Kitchen was well kitted out. Only downside was the supposed kingsize bed was more standard double. Would recommend for a short break or longer holiday. Great base from which to explore and take countryside walks. Holly Lodge is very tired and needs updating, especially the hot tub which needs repairs and was not inspected once whilst we we there. The standard of cleaning needs to be better, with dirty windows, a lot of dust and a shower outlet that wouldn't drain properly due to a build up of hair. Of the three televisions advertised only one in the living Read morearea was working. The hot tub in the next door lodge is very close to the double bedroom and the constant humming was very noticible. Hide
