The village, situated within Snowdonia National Park, has countless footpaths to explore. Take a gentle stroll to the local beach or join the coastal path and enjoy the wildlife and waters of the Mawddach and the Dyfi estuaries or simply climb Cader Idris. Board the steam train of the local Talyllyn narrow-gauge historic railway or go underground into the Corris Slate Mines. Visit the renowned Portmeirion village and Gardens, the Ynys-Hir RSPB reserve, or the pretty waterfall at Dolgoch Falls. Built in the 1800s this quirky cottage oozes character with flagstone floors, uneven stone walls and the feature fireplace. Natural light floods the lounge at the heart of this cottage with a comfy sofa to snuggle up on, Smart TV to relax with a film and a cosy wood burner. If you decide to eat in, the kitchen has been creatively designed and is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and all the thoughtful little extras, creating a lovely space to cook in. The dining table is perfectly positioned by the lounge window where you can enjoy a meal and plan your days activities. After a full day out take a leisurely shower in the stylish bathroom. Head off to the double bedroom and enjoy a good night’s sleep. The single bedroom offers a cosy space with single bed, dressing table and chair. To the front of the property, enjoy morning coffee on the bistro table and chairs.

After dropping off your luggage turn around 50 yards up the hill and there is then ample free parking down in the village car park 200m away.

The cottage was lovely but that hill was a back breaker and I do not think you can do anything about that you just need to be fit

Everything you need for a stay is provided. Modern fittings, appliances etc.in a 200 year old building.Comfy bed.No parking space at the cottage, but free parking is a short walk away

We had a lovely stay at Y Bryn. The cottage is delightful and the village is pretty. Hendre Hall is up the road with a sea view if you don't want to cook and it was great to have the option of trains to other destinations

Lovely sitting outside the front door in the shade. Very little traffic on the lane. Peaceful location and so easy to walk to shop, pub, parking, beach, station .... basically everything. Owner called by just to check that we were happy; she was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for places to go and things to do. The cottage has been beautifully and thoughtfully converted, decorated and furnished. Its very well equipped and suited us perfectly. We loved the village and the surroundings. Very well located for a holiday in south Snowdonia.

The cottage is very cosy, well equipped and tastefully decorated, so that you really enjoy your stay. More more special that you could enjoy a glass of something in the sunshine outside the cottage on the lovely wee table and chairs.

We stayed at Y Bryn in the village of Llwyngwril. A quaint very welcoming and spotless fishermans cottage which is in walking distance to the pebbled beach. Days out were taken by train to Barmouth and Aberdovey where our dog Freddie loved the beaches.

A cosy cottage in a lovely setting. You had everything you needed to have a really enjoyable and comfortable stay. A lovely stream runs by. There's a shop and a pub within a 2 minute walk. An ideal base for exploring. Would highly recommend.

The cottage was a lovely place to stay in. We lit the log fire a few times which made it very cosy. Everything was perfect. We were near the train station which we used a lot. The owner was very helpful and informative. A delightful lady.

We had a lovely week here in a Beautifully styled cozy cottage, well equipped and clean. Beds were like heaven to sleep in. Views around the area are breathtaking. Very quiet little village with not a lot going on, so you need transport to get around (unless you like that of course) great for a walking holiday.

Y Bryn is a sweet little cottage which is set on the Wales Coast Path so really fantastic to walk from straight up the hill and onto the open fields, it's also an easy walk down through the village onto the beach. Llwyngwil is a pretty village and there is a train that stops there and runs from Machynlleth to Pwllheli so amazing if you don't want tRead moreo use the car.
