As the day draws to a close, retreat to your beautifully handcrafted hideaway on wheels and sink into its cosy, inviting charm. Nearby is the historic cliffside village of Clovelly, with its whitewashed cottages and winding cobbled street down the hillside to the sheltered harbour where pubs, shops, and restaurants can be enjoyed with the local fishermen showing off their daily catch. Also close by, you have Hartland, which boasts a selection of craft and pottery shops, café, pubs as well as some of the most spectacular coastline views in the British Isles from Hartland Point. Situated slightly further afield, if you fancy a trip to the seaside then, there are many small idyllic beaches and sheltered coves to enjoy, including ever-popular Westward Ho!, which is just a short drive away and the coastal town of Bude which boasts a choice of sandy beaches, shops and restaurants.
Step inside the shepherd's hut, take off your shoes and hang up your coat, and explore this unique accommodation. The cosy snug area to the rear of the hut is where you’ll find the delightful double bed, which has a handy shelving unit and underbed storage, the hut is an ideal space for just the two of you. Why not take along a laptop and some DVDs to create your very own mini cinema. In the hut is a kettle, a couple of chairs, ideal for relaxing, listening to some music, or enjoying a good book. The beautifully bespoke wood burner will help keep you warm and toasty on cooler evenings, plus there are soft throws provided as an extra little home comfort. Set within a separate outbuilding approximately 20 metres from the hut and accessed by a lit pathway at night, guests have exclusive use of a private shower room with WC, alongside washing-up facilities and a small fridge with ice compartment.
The enclosed garden has a lawn area with a fire pit and log seating which sets the perfect cosy atmosphere to enjoy the tranquillity of the night, gazing up at the clear night sky and the stars. There is also an outdoor dining table and chairs, a covered outdoor dining area, plus a BBQ bucket and additional equipment, ideal for cooking up a delicious al fresco dinner. Direct access from the garden leads to 8 acres of tranquil shared grounds and a lake to explore. Private parking is available.
