Cottage was perfect for a short break with 3 children and 2 dogs. Just a small courtyard but adequate for the time we were there and we took the dogs to the beach most mornings. Good location for exploring the local area. Paignton was dated and underwhelming (for us) but Totnes, Dartmouth and Salcombe were within easy reach.

The house was very nice and had everything we needed. However, there were the cleanliness issues already mentioned and the main living area was dark and lacking daylight. There was kitchen workspace was also small leaving little room to prepare meals. Paignton beach and promenade are beautiful. However, the town itself is not very nice at all. We hRead moread to drive to go to nicer locations. Not ideal for the amount of money we spent on the accommodation. Hide

The house is great, beautifully decorated and in a nice quiet street less than a 10 minute walk to the beach & park. The garden room was a lovely bonus, as were all the books! I was worried about the stairs up to the attic room for a 2.5 & 4.5 year old from the description but they were fine - we stayed in a July week & that room got very hot thougRead moreh!
