Head to Llanberis (13.5 miles) or to the seafront at Dinas Dinlle (4.5 miles) where the ancient hill fort and beautiful beach provide an idyllic spot, perfect for swimming, water sports, and enjoying superb views. Anglesey with its sea zoo (28 miles), Beddgelert (11 miles) and Porthmadog (13 miles) are all worth the trip. Visit the National Trust’s Penrhyn Castle (18 miles) and Aberglaslyn (12 miles), Criccieth Castle (11 miles) and Portmeirion Italianate Village (16 miles). Take a ride on a Welsh Highland Railway from Caernarfon (8 miles) or up the Snowdon Mountain Railway at Llanberis (13 miles) and walk down from Snowdon’s summit. If you have any energy or time left, try exploring the Wales Coastal Path and Snowdonia National Park.
