When you’re located in Penygroes, there is so much to see and do. Within 6 miles, there’s the royal town of Caernarfon with its 13th-century castle (which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Waterside Doc Fictoria with its art complex, independent shops and restaurants, harbour and events. Head to Llanberis (13.5 miles) or to the seafront at Dinas Dinlle (4.5 miles) where the ancient hill fort and beautiful beach provide an idyllic spot, perfect for swimming, water sports, and enjoying superb views. Anglesey with its sea zoo (28 miles), Beddgelert (11 miles) and Porthmadog (13 miles) are all worth the trip. Visit the National Trust’s Penrhyn Castle (18 miles) and Aberglaslyn (12 miles), Criccieth Castle (11 miles) and Portmeirion Italianate Village (16 miles). Take a ride on a Welsh Highland Railway from Caernarfon (8 miles) or up the Snowdon Mountain Railway at Llanberis (13 miles) and walk down from Snowdon’s summit. If you have any energy or time left, try exploring the Wales Coastal Path and Snowdonia National Park.

Walk into the light and bright hall with a handy separate WC and space for your outdoor attire. Continue through to the stunning kitchen/diner filled with natural light and views over the garden. After dinner, walk through to the snug with its games console and Smart TV or through to the cosy lounge with large sofas, a Smart TV and wood burner - just perfect for unwinding after a full day out. Exploring this delightful property further, you will find four lovely bedrooms to choose from: the king-size with Smart TV and en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower, his and hers wash basins, and WC; the double with a Smart TV; a twin with Smart TV; and the full-size bunk bedroom with Smart TV. To complete the accommodation, there is a stylish bathroom with a shower over the bath, and WC, perfect for a leisurely start to the day.

Outside, in the enclosed garden, there is a paved area with the covered hot tub, table and chairs – enjoy some alfresco dining or relax in the tub after a long day out. The garden surrounds the house with a lawn and plenty of space to sit back and relax. There is ample private parking for three cars and space for bicycles, canoes and paddleboards.

An amazing house. We were two families of 4 adults and 3 children and had more than enough room. The house is beautifully maintained amd has everything you could wish for. Highly recommend.

Lovely property. Very comfortable and relaxing. Enough space to be together as a family, but also have time separately. Lovely garden, plenty of space for the dogs. Lovely large hot tub to relax in. Easy to get to a number of locations to go exploring.

Lovely cottage. We booked this as our base to explore the surrounding areas with our Adult children who all live across the UK so it's always nice to get together. The cottage has ample space inside and out for everyone to get some space. Rain stopped play on a couple of days but that didn't spoil our holiday as we had taken games to bring out the Read morecompetitive spirit in everyone. This is a lovely property it was like a home from home with extras like a games room, kitchen island and hot tub. It was very well equipped with everything you could ask for . The house was perfectly located for exploring Snowdonia and North Wales, we would definitely go again.

Just returned from our stay with the family. Beautiful cottage, clean and everything you need. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. The dogs and children loved the big garden and everyone enjoyed the hot tub. Excellent communication with the owner. Would definitely return.

We absolutely loved our stay! A stunning, spotlessly clean holiday home with all the added comforts you could need. We loved every minute and the hot tub was an excellent bonus! A lovely week at Cysgod Y Dyffryn, the house was stunning in a lovely location no more than an 30-60 mins from places we wanted to visit. Dinas Dinlle beach was just 10 mins away too. The house is fully equipped with everything you could need, home from home, so luxurious , lovely bedrooms with TVs to relax in after busy days out & the hot tub too.Read more There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival with something in for everyone even the dogs. We have just returned from a week at this lovely house. It is really very spacious and was spotlessly clean. There is a big garden for the dogs, ( and kids) with shady parts when its warm. We had all kinds of weather while we were there, cloudy and some rain, followed by a few days that were scorching! There are lots of lovely places to visit nearbRead morey, and we spent a very hot day at Dinas Dinlle beach, 10 minutes away, and everyone who saw the photos said it looked stunning. Great holiday! Lovely cottage, we stayed for 3 nights. Good selection of takeaways locally and a pub. We cooked a few nights as well. It was in a great location for what we needed.

This is a truly fabulous holiday home with everything thought of to ensure your maximum comfort and luxury - we especially loved the hot tub! The village itself is not the best but is well placed to explore further afield in Eryri National Park and other pretty towns such as Porthmadog. We highly recommend and hope to return in future!

This is a beautiful house with plenty of space for a family, lots of room, nicely furnished & decorated. The hot tub is perfect after a busy day exploring, The games room ideal for the kids, kitchen/dining area great for all of the family. The house is lovely & clean and the welcome pack was an added bonus for all of us including the dog. Not much Read moreto do in the local village but only a short drive to some lovely places. Plenty of space in this very up to date property. Hot tub enjoyed by the teenagers even in cooler weather. Plenty of grassy space for dogs to run around. Very well equipped. Useful utility room. Comfortable sofas, beds. Bakeries and Chinese takeaway good in the village. Useful large Co-Op round the corner! Good location for exploring the area.
