Cute little cottage with everything you could need. There are loads of books and dvds if you want some entertainment. There were some food essentials (tea/coffee/milk, oil/salt for cooking etc.). The ceilings are a bit low in some places so tall people be warned. The house is also located at the top of Charmouth, up quite a steep hill so be prepareRead mored if you plan on walking anywhere. We had an absolutely marvellous week staying in Thimble Cottage. We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door and bubbles, milk and chocolates plus other essentials that were provided was the icing on the cake. We found the cottage very comfortable and well equipped. It is in a beautiful area with many local walks on the doorstep. We would highRead morely recommend staying in this cottage. Hide

We had a lovely stay in Thimble Cottage. It's well equipped with everything we could need, cosy and the beds were comfortable. It's close to the main street and a short walk to the beach - just be aware it's a steep climb up the road to the cottage. It's a great base for fossil hunting and gorgeous walks on the South Coast path. Highly recommended!

We loved the house and it's decor. The owners have added their artistic touches. Lovely quilting on the beds and walls. Welcome package was a nice surprise. A quiet area, within walking distance of the beach, shops and bus stops. We were able to park outside the cottage. Comfortable bed and sofas. A wonderful cottage we loved staying at sadly let down by poorly hoovered downstairs and suspiciously strong Febreezed/damp-smelling duvet covers/turned over (inside-out) top sheet on double bed. Maybe worth exploring with owner/cleaners. Otherwise a great experience.

Really lovely little cottage, everything you could need and well stocked with essentials. The hill is very steep as we were prepared for, but didn't cause us any problems - and took the edge off our walk to Lyme Regis! The local shops are really good, and we enjoyed lovely trips to the beach and nearby Abbotbury and Seaton.

Very much enjoyed our stay. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Very steep climb up from the sea and also up from the cottage to the lovely views from the cliffs so we ended up driving out to places more than we'd expected after the first day or so, but otherwise a great location.

Thimble Cottage is a cosy, homely place to spend a holiday. There are good facilities inside and it is in a lovely location within walking distance of the beach and local amenities. Due to the very steep hill up to the cottage its probably not suitable for those with mobility issues (unless you are intending on driving everywhere). Really well equipped cottage, cosy for winter evenings. Its a 12 min walk to the beach and a little longer back as its up a steep hill. We loved it and hope to return soon.

A last minute 3 night stay which couldn't have been better! Wonderful cottage, excellent location, very comfortable beds, loved the stable door, a lovely approach to not wasting food/dry goods, everything we needed. We'd read the comments about the hill before we went so were prepared and took it on as a healthy challenge! Thank you.
