The Granary is a delightful detached holiday cottage near Rhayader, located on a traditional organic hill farm with lovely views across the upper Wye Valley from the private garden, decking and private hot tub. Very popular with families and surrounded by stunning countryside, this is a superb location for walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers and country lovers.

Green energy is used with a Biomass boiler for central heating, solar panels for hot water and PV panels supplying electricity. The owners have provided hundreds of bird nesting boxes, planted thousands of trees and are recipients of the Green Tourism Business Award 2013 – 2015.

The cottage is heavily beamed and has lovely period features, as well as some attractive antique pieces of furniture.

Accommodation comprises:

Living Room Open plan, with fitted kitchen, electric oven and ceramic hob, extractor hood, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher; lounge with two sofas, small wood burning stove, dresser, TV, DVD player, WiFi, doors to terrace and views; dining area with table, four chairs and settle.

First Floor:

Bedroom One: with double bed.

Bedroom Two: with twin beds.

Shower Room: with shower cubicle, WC and basin.

Outside: south-facing elevated deck with wonderful views over the valley and hills, lawned garden to one side with hot tub (£100 per stay, by arrangement).

Shared Facilities:

Laundry Room with washing machines, tumble dryer, butler sink.

Games Room with table tennis, pool and table football.

Outdoor Activities: adventure play area, treehouse hide high in an oak tree for badger-watching, fishing on the River Wye, marked walking trails, and you can even try ‘Wild Camping’ for a night or two (book in advance with the owners).

Visitors are welcome to explore the farm, with lots of friendly animals - watch lambs being born April to end May and help with bottle feeding.

Hot Tub at extra charge all year round - £100 per stay - please make sure you let us know if you would like the hot tub and tell the owners to ensure the hot tub can be prepared.

Amazing location with spectacular views and great walks from our doorstep. Hosts Andre and Alison were very welcoming and attentive. Ideal for visiting Elan Valley and the Cambrians. Thoroughly enjoyed our week thank you!
