This stone-built period townhouse in the heart of Dolgellau has parking and an enclosed garden. This pretty market town is nestled below Cader Idris, southern Snowdonia's highest peak. Close to the beaches of Fairbourne and Barmouth (both 9 miles) and Coed y Brenin Forest Park with its world-renowned MTB trails (8 miles), it is a perfect base to explore beautiful beaches and countryside. Dolgellau town (just over 300 metres) boasts independent shops, pubs, cafes, wine bars and restaurants, a farmers’ market and music events throughout the year. Walk or cycle (there is bike hire in town) the famous Mawddach Trail, or journey by steam train and water ferry from Fairbourne Beach to Barmouth Harbour. Enjoy walking, climbing, fishing, mountain biking, cycling and water sports or just relax and savour the breathtaking views of majestic mountains and stunning coastline.

Walk into this three-storey townhouse that’s full of original features and creature comforts. The hall, with original tiles, leads to the contemporary kitchen with a snug area offering sofas, chairs, a Smart TV and a feature fireplace. If you decide to eat in, the kitchen is a sociable space to rustle up a meal with your local produce purchases. Once ready, head through to the separate dining room with seating for 12, featuring a fireplace and electric log-effect fire for cosy nights catching up on each other's news. After dinner, continue through to the lounge where there’s a wood burner, sofas and a TV, or maybe try the kitchen snug – both have seating for 7/8. If you prefer something more active, the basement games room has a snooker table to test your skills. Also on the ground floor, the boot room has space for your outdoor attire along with the washer/dryer. When you’re ready to retire, choose from six bedrooms over the first and second floors, all designed for a good night's sleep and your comfort in mind. There are two bedrooms with king-sized beds, oriel windows and feature fireplaces, two twin rooms and two doubles (with an additional single bed in each). To complement the accommodation, there are three bathrooms, one with a freestanding bath, shower and WC, one with a stylish shower and WC, and a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. There are two additional separate WCs.

Heading outside, you can relax in the enclosed paved garden, enjoy a morning coffee perhaps with a treat from one of the local bakeries, and make the most of the weather whilst listening to birdsong. There is private parking for two cars behind the property, accessed via a narrow driveway. Additional parking can be found for free further up the hill from the property and also around the corner on Cader Road (can be bust in Summer months). Great location. Lovely house. Nice to have so many bedrooms and bathrooms. The drive to the parking space behind is extremely narrow and there is not room for two cars (except perhaps Minis) as that would block the neighbour.

We enjoyed our stay. Good position in the town centre. The upstairs accommodation is lovely, light and airy, with large rooms. But we found the downstairs smaller than the pictures - partly due to limited light and dark decor. The fridge is tiny, so storing a large supermarket delivery for a week in summer was a challenge. Only 1 small bath towel pRead moreer person + 1 hand towel per sink. Parking difficult with 1 medium car; our only attempt with the second car resulted in serious damage to bodywork. Hide

We had a fantastic stay! Perfect size house for 11 guests and 3 dogs. We loved the secure outdoor area for the dogs, although small it was great to know they could be let out safely. We also loved the sizing of all bathrooms and bedrooms. Plenty of room in the dining area for all 11 guests to sit together! Games rooms, log fire and dishwasher are aRead moredditional perks. Thank you for a brilliant stay! Hide
