The cottage is located very conveniently to the beautiful village of Appledore which has some lovely places to eat and beaches nearby to explore. The cottage itself could benefit from a deep clean and some maintenance. The worst beds we have ever slept on with Holiday Cottages. The cottage itself does have some good points in that it has a TV Read morein every room and some lovely views. We were a little alarmed that the smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector stopped working but nothing was done about it imminently. I am surprised that Holiday Cottages have rated this as a 4 star and charged so much for our stay here. I have used them on many occasions but this now may have finished it for me as they have got it so wrong. Hide

The house is lovely and in a beautiful part of Devon, with everything needed to accomodate a family holiday. It has lovely views accross the estuary and well placed for beach and walks. Apart from a few minor issues with accomodation we enjoyed our stay.

Location walking distance to lovely Appledore. Photos of cottage were clearly taken when newly renovated, because it now badly needs freshening up. Paint on walls ok.. but kitchen floor needs deep clean. Sofa grubby in places. Worst of all , mattress covers and pillows stained, one duvet cover ripped . Parking very tricky at times if car or van Read moreparked opposite the one parking area allocated to cottage . Kitchen well equipped , Enjoyed the holiday, just a bit of money needed to sort bedding .. Hide

The cottage is in a good position to walk into town. Needs updating as beds and sheets etc need replacing. Also outdoor furniture needs updating. So felt it was overpriced. Shame as it has a lot of potential.

Beautiful setting/ views, excellent sized space but cottage not well maintained inside or out. Needs a complete deep clean and maintenance . Missing broken balustrades on balcony, rusty outdoor furniture. Would benefit from a little more child proofing. We took our own corner covers but all cupboards and drawers easily accessible with sharp kitchenRead more implements at child height. We had a lovely holiday but would have been excellent if property was as advertised, very disappointed in state of it. Hide

Lovely size property and amazing views (small single room). Great location and has parking which is great although tricky to access for larger vehicles. IMO the property would benefit from a deep clean in areas and a freshen up.
