Woolacombe is a popular destination for holidaymakers, mainly thanks to the town’s stunning award winning sandy beach which stretches on for an impressive 3 miles. The village also has some great shops, takeaways, cafe's, pubs and amusements for the kids. The more adventurous types may like to try their hand at a new water sport, such as kayaking, surfing or paddle boarding, lessons are available at the beachside surf school. Walking enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with the South West Coastal path on your doorstep where you can spot the seals and the breath-taking views. Other places of interest are The National Trust Arlington Court (14 miles) with beautiful gardens and Carriage Museum and a visit to Exmoor National Park (13 miles) which offers breathtaking views over the moorlands.

This second-floor 1-bed apartment is accessed via an external wooden walkway, with a private entrance. Entering through the hallway, to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with stunning sea views. Relax after a busy day and enjoy a movie night in, on the Smart TV after whipping up a favourite dish in the fully equipped kitchen. Leading off the hallway is the double-size bedroom and the bathroom which has a walk-in shower and WC.

Heading outside, there is an enclosed communal garden area (accessed via steep steps) with seating making it the perfect place to enjoy al fresco dining. Here you overlook the beach and sea below, the perfect spot to enjoy a BBQ

I chose this apartment because of the amazing view and closeness to the beach. The area is lovely for walking the coast path also. Phil was very helpful in giving us information on lots of places to visit. We were aware of the many steps to the apartment but we managed even though my husband had knee replacement recently!

Shell Bay apartment has fabulous views of the sea and Barricane Bay (greatly missing that view now) It is well serviced for the size of the apartment and Phil the host was friendly and helpful. There are steep steps from the parking area and down to the front of the property but in our late sixties we found these manageable and builds up your stepsRead more count. If the right film showing recommend Visiting the 30 seat Neo Cinema. If you like curry try the Sri Lankan curry available of an evening across the road in Barricane Bay. Hide

The panoramic views directly over the sea to the front and side of the main living / diner / kitchen are wonderful and the website doesn't do it justice. Barricane beach is immediately in front of you, just pop down the steps and across the road. It's small but very usable and comfortable and you'll be looking out of the window not caring that you Read morehave bags in the living area, which is large enough. Hide

I stayed here with my two cocker spaniels, the cottage was lovely and clean, an amazing view of the beach that was just across the road, dog friendly and had a cafe. Woolacombe shops and Pub/cafes just 5 minutes walk. When i arrived Phil (host) was so helpful and carried all my bags down the steps to the cottage for me so that I could concentrate oRead moren my dogs and was so welcoming and helpful, but not intrusive, perfect! Excellent location, the beach is just across the road. Easy walk into Woolacombe for shops and cafes. Lots of good coastal walks. Host is very welcoming and has lots of local information.

A small but comfortable dog friendly apartment. Perfectly located for walks on the beach & The National trust area. For 2 active cocker spaniels it was heaven.

What an amazing place with stunning views. It was perfect for me and my 2 dogs. Everything I needed for a week. Lots of places to visit in the area and if you want to stay close the beach is across the road, what more can you ask for. As other people have mentioned the steps to and from the holiday home are steep but even with my dodgy knees I manaRead moreged it ok. The owners were amazing too, lots of food/places to visit recommended from them. I would definitely make another booking. Hide

Fantastic view from the front windows of the Sandy Beaches and Coves of Woolacombe. Down some steep steps and a 50 metre walk you at the nearest beach. Owners are a very helpful even lending us a body board.
