With Furzebray Carp Lakes right next door, book in advance for a spot of fishing in beautiful surroundings. Exmoor National Park (3 miles) opens up a world of moorland walks, wildlife spotting, and scenic drives across one of England’s most dramatic landscapes. The nearby market town of South Molton (1.2 miles) offers independent shops, cafes, and its traditional pannier market. Families will enjoy Quince Honey Farm (2.1 miles), where you can learn all about beekeeping and sample local honey. Garden lovers can head to RHS Garden Rosemoor (14 miles). The impressive scenery of Lynton and Lynmouth, along with the beaches of Woolacombe and Saunton Sands offering coastal fun, can all be found within 25 miles.

A spacious hallway welcomes you on arrival, running the length of the property with access to each of the main rooms, and a rear door leading out to the garden. Turning right from the hallway, you’ll find the main lounge, a generous and sociable room with a wood burner, a range of seating, and a Smart TV – perfect for cosy movie nights. This leads through to a separate library area, where comfortable chairs sit alongside shelves of books, board games, and puzzles. Beyond this is a dedicated games room with a pool table and additional seating, ready for friendly competition. To the left of the hallway is the kitchen and dining area, arranged around an Aga set within an inglenook fireplace and complemented by a large dining table and a kitchen island. Upstairs, accessed via either staircase, are five bedrooms: two super-king-size rooms, one super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request), one king-size room, and one twin with two single beds. These characterful rooms feature exposed wooden beams and are individually styled with their own accent colours. Three bedrooms benefit from en-suite facilities, while the remaining rooms are served by a stylish family bathroom.

Outside, guests have access to extensive grounds. To the front, an enclosed lawn sits behind a gated entrance, while the rear and side of the house open onto a large patio with outdoor seating, a charcoal BBQ, and a private hot tub. A courtyard garden with established planting adds further charm to the setting. Beyond the rear lawn lies a privately owned 7-acre field, available for guests to exercise their dogs.
