This traditional stone property is set in a tranquil spot, yet ever-popular Lyme Regis is only 1 mile away. With dark night skies and a peaceful ambience this is a great touring base. Take an idyllic walk to town downhill through the woods, fields and along the river or hop in the car and explore the historic Cobb harbour, pretty cobbled streets and independent shops, before heading to Charmouth, known for its fossil rich cliffs. Only 0.5 miles away is Lyme Regis golf club, which is open to non-members and has a bar and restaurant or visit one of the many attractions within 9 miles, including Pecorama, Beer Caves, Seaton Tramway, Burrows Farm Gardens and River Cottage HQ.

This mid terrace cottage has a private entrance door that leads into a welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area boasts an electric flame-effect wood burner and TV and the compact kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook up a romantic meal for two. There is space to dine just opposite. Heading upstairs you will find the bedroom with the bathroom next door. Due to the setting within the eaves there are some areas of restricted head height on the first floor, which only adds to its character and charm.

To the front of the property is a patio with outdoor furniture and views over a shared lawn area with picnic benches, picturesque pond and the countryside surrounds.

Morse Cottage is really comfortable and set in lovely surroundings. Its well-equipped throughout, with decent Wi-Fi and a smart TV that has Freesat as well as access to all the usual streaming apps. Communication before arriving was great. I had phone calls with both the caretaker and owner, and both were friendly and easy to speak with. InsiRead morede, it feels spacious for two people, with a comfortable bed and a good-sized bathroom. On-site parking is easy, and there was a friendly atmosphere with guests in the neighbouring cottages. The gardens are beautifully kept, and the location down a quiet track makes it feel pleasantly tucked away from everything. Getting into Lyme Regis is straightforward with two walking options: Field & River Path (~25 mins): Cuts across a field and follows the river footpath - a lovely walk in good weather. Gravel Track & Road (~20 mins): Takes you along a gravel path, through a caravan park, and down the road - definitely the better choice in wet winter conditions or for walking back after dark. We settled in and felt at home straight away. Id certainly recommend Morse Cottage and would definitely consider staying again in the future. Hide

Nice location, quite and peaceful, easy parking, however be aware there is no internet access supplied, and TV controls very hard to understand and get working, so if you want to be off grid for your holiday this is the place to come.

The cottage is in a beautiful setting, the grounds are very attractive and well kept. Good parking by the cottages. Location is about a mile from Lyme Regis centre and an easy walk into town. However, may not be so easy for some people with mobility issues to walk back and the bus service was infrequent and not reliable when we were there. The cottage was cosy and the location lovely. The proximity to Lyme Regis was great but the hill back is very steep and not for anyone with breathing problems! We enjoyed our stay it was very quiet and relaxing.

The cottage itself was lovely and the location is very quiet and peaceful if that is what you are looking for. It was also ideally located for travelling in to Lyme and elsewhere along the main coast road. We loved the location. It was a very picturesque walk of approximately 40 minutes to Lyme beach front and was very straight forward.

Cottage is ideal for two people and is in a very peaceful setting. The walk through the fields to Lyme town takes about 30 minutes going and about 45 minutes coming back as it is uphill but well worth the walk. There is a park and ride which is good value given the cost of parking in Lyme.

The cottage was lovely and clean, it had everything we needed. It is in a lovely quiet position, over looking the communal garden is nice. The walk down by the river into Lyme was a pleasure, the walk back can be tiring. Had a nice meal in The Pilot Boat inn. Lovely friendly atmosphere in the micro brewery in town.

A really wonderful little cottage nestled in a really nice location. Clean, Comfortable and well appointed we had a really relaxing stay. The welcome pack was, well, welcome and very tasty. Would not hesitate to return if ever in the area again

A lovely property in a beautiful location, so peaceful and we were very fortunate to have great weather. Couldnt believe the kitchen was the same as mine, even the worktop and tiles! We obviously both have good taste. Loved our stay and hope to come back. Shame park and ride was not running but enjoyed walking to bus stop. Highly recommend.
