I was slightly nervous going here after reading several reviews mentioning it was in need of updating and also damp but this must have been fixed, because the house was lovely - very cosy on a cold winter visit and some welcoming biscuits, tea and coffee and milk in the fridge which was appreciated. The location is very central in Bideford, a park Read morenearby which is great for kids, good sized kitchen and living areas so highly recommended. Hide

The house is in a beautiful spot opposite a park and close to beaches. We appreciated the welcome touches and helpful parking tips. However, cleaning could be improved and some maintenance issues, like doors not closing and a loose plug socket, need attention. The bathroom is tired, needs a deep clean, and the toilet seat needs fixing. With more caRead morere and regular upkeep, this could be a truly lovely and comfortable place to stay. Hide

I would recommend this cottage to everyone. We were three generations and a dog and had everything we needed. There was extra equipment in a cupboard for younger ones and our eight year old grandchild loved her pebbles room. The park is opposite, excellent for first and last walks of the day with the dog and is also so well equipped for children. TRead moreown and the quay are close by with access to the Tarka trail. We could not have had a more comfortable and easy Christmas to suit all family members. Hide

Whilst the fixtures match the picture, what you can't see is the damp and the remidal work that needs to be carried out. The property is shabby and doesn't seem to have had a good clean since the comments made in 2023. The damp means that it smells unpleasant and that mould has started to form in one of the bedrooms. The garden is not secure if youRead more have a larger dog as the fence is broken. Parking is residential so is restricted Monday to Saturday. The property isn't a 4 star rating. Hide
