The cottage was nice inside and the bedding and towels provided of good quality. The views across the countryside was lovely. The welcome pack was minimalist. What we did not like at all was the very poor attention to the outside of the property, the grass had not been cut recently and there were weeds everywhere on the drive. The available comfortRead moreable garden chairs were on there last legs, and there was nowhere to store these out of the weather., also there was only two such chairs that were not broken. There was no cleaning cloths or liquids of any kind, presumably the owners expect the guests to buy these in order to leave the place clean and tidy. The vacuum did not have any flexible nozzle, and there was no extension lead to be able to reach all parts of the lounge!. There was only one replacement bin bag and no recycling box for any glass, plastic or paper. There were only 2 small glass tumblers provided in the kitchen and only one sharp cutting knife. Hide

we had a fantastic holiday here, really peaceful and quiet. The living area is superb, and the patio doors open straight onto a large patio and lawn. The kitchen and equipment is very good, and the bathrooms and bedrooms clean and tidy. The rear of the property is not overlooked by anyone at all, just fields and hills. This is a bright, comfortable modern property and we had an excellent time. What really recommends it is being able to open the 2 sets of folding doors to the terrace and to sit there in complete quiet while enjoying the exceptional views. Great for walkers (if you don't mind some steep hills!).

A beautiful, spacious and comfortable cottage that served our needs perfectly. The garden is lovely and spacious with stunning views. Ive never been somewhere so peaceful. The scones were also very much appreciated! The only comment for potential guests to be aware of is that the house is very remote, the nearest pub is at the bottom of a pretty biRead moreg hill. This wasnt an issue for us, but I think is unclear on the booking as it simply says 1 mile away. Hide

A comfortable, spacious and well presented cottage and garden in a beautiful location within yards of the South West Coastal Path. It is safe for small children, with a well-fenced garden, though you would need to bring your own travel cot and high chair. Hard floor surfaces throughout mean that it is easy to keep clean.

Lovely views from Heddons view. Lots of lovely walks to be had from here too. It is very remote with the nearest pub about 1/2 hour walk (uphill on way back). Enjoyed our stay. Just need to ensure there is cutlery for 6 and an airer for clothes to dry as even though we went away in August the weather wasnt warm enough to dry clothes outside.

We had a great stay here. A beautiful bungalow with spacious garden, perfect for dogs & children to play in. Comfortable beds and a homely feel. The location is great for exploring exmoor, and also the north Devon beaches. It is remote - 10 mins to the local shop.
