A superb spot with lots to see and do nearby. Ideal for friends and families with its own enclosed lawn area and summer house opposite the barn which has spectacular countryside views and ideal to play or relax after a day’s exploring. There are lots to see and do nearby; plenty of pretty walks, the disused railway line called The Tarka Trail where you can hire bikes and trikes for all ages – rest a while and enjoy a drink or bite to eat at one of the many pubs along the trail. Other activities include paintballing within walking distance and golf which is nearby. Family theme parks such as The Milky Way and The Big sheep are always popular and are just 10 and 6 miles respectively.

Stepping into the property, which is accessed through the small, cobbled yard you enter the impressive large open-plan kitchen/diner, here you will find everything you need to cater your every need including an electric oven and hob, Air Fryer,  microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. A breakfast bar allows for casual mealtimes with a wall mounted TV, but a large family size dining table and chairs is more suited to more formal dining. Step down to the split-level lounge which has a feature open tread staircase at its centre, a wood burner and comfy seating at one end a TV so you can enjoy your favourite TV show or have a movie night. At the other end is further seating and bean bags ideal for board games or a game of cards maybe. On this same level is a ground floor twin with TV and its own en-suite shower room and WC. Heading upstairs to the rest of the sleeping accommodation you will find two more bedrooms both having TV’s and exposed beams, the first of which has a king-size bed with en-suite shower room and WC. The other has a king size bed and an additional single bed with en-suite shower room and WC.

Heading outside, the small, cobbled courtyard off the kitchen is enclosed, but across the lane is your large enclosed lawn area with summer house and garden furniture, this has panoramic countryside views and a great place to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful part of North Devon. Lovely property and location. We appreciated the large garden field for our dogs and grandson who really enjoyed a safe space to play and roam with some fabulous views across the countryside and the quietness of being located on a single track lane that dead ends, so the near absence of vehicles allowed the birdsong and countryside sounds to shine Read morethrough. The kitchen was spacious and perfect for gatherings after a day out at the coast which was an easy 15-20 minutes away. Everyone appreciated their own on-suite facilities. We wouldn't hesitate to return. Hide

A perfect retreat for families with dogs. The property is a generous size and well equipped. The crowning glory is the wonderful garden, across the lane, that is totally dog proof and with the most spectacular views. It has a summerhouse, table and chairs. This is a place for a true escape from reality.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Really well equipped home, plenty of room. In a peaceful, countryside location but only 10-15 mins from Barnstaple and Bideford where there are plenty of shops. Lots of great beaches not too far away.

A warm, well-equipped, comfortable modern cottage, it feels very out of the way at first but you actually have Barnstaple, Woolavombe, Croyde, Bideford and Bude in easy reach and we even got trips into Exeter and Taunton in the week.
