This property enjoys a central location, and is just a short walk from Brixham town centre, its shops, pubs, and restaurants. It is easy to spend a relaxed week here, browsing the shops, sampling the local restaurants, taking a boat ride around the bay, and maybe taking the ferry across to Torquay and enjoying a fun night out or a romantic meal in one of the seafront restaurants. Returning to Brixham by night across the waters is a truly magical experience, as you watch the lights glistening as you make your way back. There are beaches to be enjoyed too, several of which are within an easy walk of the town centre.

Steps lead from the road alongside the front garden to the entrance of this attractive property. Once inside, the first room that guests come to is the pretty kitchen, which has been thoughtfully finished in a chic understated muted colours. A breakfast bar island unit stands in the centre of the room, whilst a Range-style cooker sits in the former fireplace. Other equipment provided here includes an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, and washing machine. Carpeted stairs lead directly from the kitchen to the first-floor lounge, another stylish room with double-aspect windows, a two seater sofa and armchair, TV, and cast iron open-fire which gives this room a lovely cosy glow in the evening. The stairs continue on to the second floor, where guests will find the bedroom, a lovely restful room which would rival any found in a boutique hotel. Sink into the soft support, sumptuous king-size bed ,where you will also find there is a double wardrobe, and a window seat looking through the Sash Windows down to the garden below. The shower room, also on this level, offers a walk-in shower and WC.

Outside, the cottage garden is a surprising feature of this house, which is unusual for a property so close to the town centre. Surrounded by shrubs and plants, steps lead down to a seating area with bistro-style furniture, creating a lovely space for guests to enjoy alfresco drinks or meals. Parking available for 1 car in the church car park, the permit is provided; please note the car will have to be moved for Sunday services, weddings and funerals

Cottage is looking tired now. Kitchen sink and work surface need updating and the garden needs work to make it more welcoming to first impressions.

We had a lovely 5 nights in Hideaway Cottage. Its a perfect location for exploring all the lovely beaches near by. The decorations & treats were lovely too. It is quite chilly in the kitchen if you dont have the fire going so make sure you pack some slippers & cosy jumpers for sitting downstairs. Im sure we will be back.

Lovely town house with nice views. Short walk to the shops and harbour. Courtyard garden and unusually for a town, safe private parking at the end of the road. We can't fault it.

Lovely location sourced at late notice as previous booking became unavailable. Well equipped and roomy and great location for access to Brixham town centre. Easy car parking at the church a few minutes away and 5 minutes walk to the bus stop for buses to Kingswear and Paignton. Recommended.

For us the cottage was vastly over priced, the star rating should be 3 star not 4 star as the cottage now looks very tired the outside space is overgrown with weeds, the Wi-fi was rubbish when paying over a thousand pound a week this is unacceptable. We found the sofa and bed very uncomfortable (The bed was broken and the owner replaced the bed theRead more next day though) The owner was very nice. The cottage does have the bonus of being very close to town and a parking space. Needs renovation. Hide

Hideaway Cottage is a lovely place to stay and well placed to get stuck into Brixham. When we stayed it came with a parking permit to park just down the road which made things so much easier. The host is very accommodating and wed love to stay there again.
