This property is situated in an idyllic location in the shadow of the mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The Sugar Loaf, one of the most popular peaks in the area, is located just four miles from the cottage, and is a great place to enjoy a challenging hike, following the National Trust’s Sugar Loaf Circuit. There are plenty more gentle walks in the area for those who simply want to take in the breath-taking scenery, as well numerous opportunities to have a go at canoeing, abseiling, and caving. Two miles south of the cottage, the foodie town of Abergavenny, known as the Gateway to Wales is a popular destination for visitors to the area, and offers a range of independent shops, as well as good range of eateries.

This comfortable cottage is a great place to stay and enjoy a holiday in the Brecon Beacons. At the heart of the property is the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to perhaps unwind with a film on the TV/DVD. The dining table here seats up to four guests, and the sofa-bed can be converted to accommodate two extra guests. The kitchen area, to one end of the room, is well-equipped and offers an oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, and dishwasher. The shower room, with its corner-shower and WC is located just off the lounge area, as is the bedroom: a pleasant king-size room which can be set up as a twin room on request, thanks to the zip-and-link beds.  There is an external shared laundry with washing machine and tumble dryer available for guests to use.

Outside, there is an enclosed patio garden to the front of the cottage. Garden furniture has been provided to help guests to get maximum enjoyment of this space, where they can enjoy alfresco dining whilst taking in the stunning views.

Very welcoming feel. All utensils you need for any home cooking needs. Clean and comfy. It had a homely feel, especially after our long journey. Amazing scenic views. You hear nothing but nature and maybe the occasional animal, nothing can beat it.

The accommodation was very good and was extremely well equipped. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was good to have an enclosed patio/garden for our dog and there are many walks directly from the front door. The situation is very quiet which we really liked, yet there are many places of iRead morenterest within a short drive. There is also a really nice pub within an easy 5 minute walk. We would recommend and definitely book again if in the area Hide

Beautiful setting and great for the dog. Able to exercise in a field, enclosed garden and walks up to the Deri and The Sugar Loaf from the cottage. The stable was warm and everything worked and was easily understood. Great place. Thank you.

The cottage is small but warm and cozy. Waking up and pulling back the curtains to that view was the best medicine you could have- it was just beautiful. So peaceful. Having a safe field for the dog to run and explore was an extra special benefit. We loved it. Lyn is very helpful and kind but predicted our privacy too. Thank you
