Absolutely stunning garden and a large house in a great location for easy access to Barnstaple and nice walks along the Tarka trail. Our dogs adored the garden with so many nooks to explore and it was lovely hearing/seeing the wildlife (owls, other birds & butterflies) in it too. It's an old North Devon house, so quirks (steep/shallow stairs, patchRead morey wifi through thick walls, etc) are to be expected and entirely manageable once you get used to the house. Great house for gathering but being able to have your own space (multiple places to sit & eat, a couple of lounging areas) etc. Hide

Fabulous spacious cottage and lovely welcome pack. Kitchen well equipped. Unfortunately there was some issues with pool/air hockey table which was one of the main attractions for us. Very disappointed.Beautiful gardens but road parking outside the church for 3 vehicles isnt ideal. We walked to the nearest pub once which took nearly an hour and the Read morewalk back felt longer in the dark. As much as it was a beautiful cottage we wouldnt stay there again. We felt it was over priced for what it was. Hide

Spacious cottage which is nicely laid out and pretty well equipped. We visited Combe Martin, Lynton & Lynmouth, Saunton. Ilfracombe, all of these were around a 30 minute drive from the property. Nice welcome with a homemade cake and tea/coffee/milk which is always appreciated. The cottage does have a bit of a damp problem and perhaps the garden neeRead moreds a little TLC - neither of these impacted on our stay but others may find a little off putting. Parking is limited and needs a better description. Hide

This is a beautiful cottage in a lovely location. The wondeful garden because the cotage was advertised as "Dog Safe". I t was spoiled because our dog escaped on to a busy 60mph country road. This cottage would make make a good holiday place for children and animals subject to the hole in the fence being repaired.

A really lovely property and perfect place to relax and unwind together as a family. Garden is beautiful and tranquil. The cottage has enormous character and charm. Also a great base to get out and about to explore beautiful north Devon. The grown ups, the teenagers and our canine companion all very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!
