A lovely house. Light and well equipped with beautiful views from the enclosed back garden. Really convenient, five minutes to large co-op and a short walk into town and lovely walks along the river. A walkers paradise as Offas Dyke path and the Wye Valley Walk are both easily accessible from Hay.

We had a wonderful holiday at Hay House. The location is excellent, a short walk into Hay on Wye, and great dog walking options. We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed walks along the Wye Valley path, Offa's Dyke and a path that runs next to the River Wye to the Warren. The house is very well equipped, good quality cookware and nice sharp Read morekitchen knives. It is a modern and well insulated building, we did find it quite warm compared to our home. There are lovely views out of the kitchen window, and our dog was fascinated by the cows. We enjoyed many local restaurants and the Lucky 7 Co Brewery is nearby (just past the Coop), with their taproom open on Fridays (with a food van outside). Hide

A smart, almost brand-new house on a small estate that was extremely well equipped. It was well presented, clean and with loads of 'stuff'. It is well-placed on the outskirts of town but only 10 minutes away, whilst a river-walk affords a good route away from traffic if you have dogs. Hay has restaurants, bars and coffee shops and the ample Co-op iRead mores just across the road. Downsides were that the heating is controlled by the owner, 100 miles away and garden needs dog-security improving. Hide
