Perfect for couples, families, or friends, this charming cottage is ideal for exploring scenic trails, picturesque villages, and historic towns. Located just 4 miles from Hay-on-Wye, known for its independent bookshops, you’ll also find a variety of boutiques, pubs, restaurants, and even a castle to discover. Active visitors will appreciate the numerous walking and biking trails that pass close by.

This 18th-century cottage is designed for comfort and charm. The inviting lounge features cosy, low ceilings with rustic oak beams, comfortable sofas for unwinding after a day of exploring, a TV with DVD player, and a crackling wood burner. A second lounge includes an original tiled floor, oak-framed windows with stunning views, another wood burner, a dining table, and an optional sofa bed. The country-style kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals. Upstairs, accessible via the first twin bedroom, are three bedrooms: two twin rooms (one featuring a low access door and two 2ft 6 beds that can be joined to make a 5ft double) and one double bedroom. The downstairs bathroom includes a bath with a shower overhead.

Set in an idyllic location, this cottage looks beautiful year-round. While many of the stunning views can be enjoyed from inside, the most spectacular panoramas are best appreciated from outside. The lawned garden offers picnic tables and benches, providing the perfect spot for al fresco dining or simply relaxing and soaking up the expansive scenery. Ample parking is available, though access is via a shared, steep, and narrow stone farm track with a small central gulley for drainage. Drivers may prefer to park in the lower off-road area and walk up for easier access.

The cottage is just as described - we had all we needed for the week and we were comfortable and warm - a minor issue we had with toaster was quickly remedied by the owner who was very helpful and friendly. The views from the cottage and the garden are just breath taking - we saw several Kites hovering for prey and had visits over the fence from thRead moree horses in the next field - the pub in Dorstone is about 3 miles away and very friendly with good food - we all enjoyed our stay very much Hide
