A short walk of less than 1 mile across a meadow and over an ancient stone bridge leads you to Crickhowell – a lovely small town with independent shops, cafes and pubs – with many more local walks to enjoy: Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal passes through Llangattock to the west, allowing level walking along the picturesque towpath, while the River Usk provides riverside strolls from Crickhowell. For a slightly more energetic trek you can join the Beacons Way or Cwm Cumbeth trail at Crickhowell, leading you up on to the flat-topped Table Mountain and The Black Mountains beyond.
