Lovely all round! Upon arrival we found milk, tea, coffee and cake awaiting. The garden was super dog friendly totally enclosed which made for a relaxing time for us too. The cottage is near the A35 but tucked away down a side road and being thatched we didn't hear much traffic at all. The cottage is well placed to visit many of the local attractions. Lovely cottage but needs some work done in the bathroom and downstairs shower. Bathroom looks like the taps have been leaking for some time has it has left a horrible green streak by the plug hole making it look very unsightly. The downstairs shower was dirty all around the bottom no cleaning stuff left to clean it. Only one tea towel left and no kRead moreitchen towel. Bathroom towel had big brown marks on it. Private car park turning point was occupied most of the week which made it quite difficult reversing out. Duck lane was relatively quiet but the main road was very busy, hence the walk to the local spar shop was not great due to the horrendous stream of traffic. Hide

Our stay was very enjoyable, quiet, comfortable and Jake Labrador appreciated the private enclosed garden. Although the A35 was a stones throw from the property we could not hear any traffic even from the garden. Would highly recommend. Beach, pubs and local shops where within easy walking distance.

If you want to stay in a proper period cottage and soak up history this is the venue for you. In addition it is extremely comfortable, with plenty of space for a family (there were 5 of us) and with a good local pub only 100 yards away.

An absolutely lovely, if slightly quirky, property. Everything was in great order when we arrived. Tge cottage rooms are quite small (but it is a cottage so perhaps they should be) but very comfortable. The conservatory at the rear was brilliant as a breakfast room. And the location is to die for. We managed a circular walk taking in the fantastic Read morevillage churches and the wonderful mini museum attached to St Ignatius, then on to Golden Cap and stopping off at The Anchor in Seatown.
