Brimming with character and charm, this traditional thatched cottage is a welcoming base for families, couples and their four-legged companions looking to explore Dorset’s beautiful countryside and coastline. Set in the heart of Piddlehinton, a friendly village, it’s just 500 metres from your local pub for low-key evenings out. Pick up local produce in the local farm shop (2 miles) or head to the historic market town of Dorchester (6 miles) for a wider choice of shops, eateries and cultural attractions. The famous Cerne Abbas Giant (4.5 miles), a figure carved into the chalk hill, is well worth a visit and a fab photo opportunity. For days by the sea, the stunning landscapes of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door (18 miles) provide unforgettable coastal walks, and the traditional seaside town of Weymouth (14 miles) has sandy beaches and classic attractions.

You’ll enter via the rear entrance, then find yourself in a farmhouse-style kitchen/dining area where you can share meals at the wooden table after a day out exploring. The cosy living room is perfect for relaxing with fellow guests, with dual aspect windows, elegant ceiling beams and a Smart TV for evening relaxation. Set within a brick fireplace is a wood burner to keep you all toasty when the temperatures drop. There’s also a convenient ground-floor WC. When it’s time to turn in for the night, head up to one of three bedrooms – two doubles and a twin room.
