A beautifully restored dairy parlour set in picturesque farmland, this rural retreat captures far-reaching valley views and offers the perfect base for couples and small families exploring Shropshire together. Located in the peaceful hamlet of Stretton Westwood, next to Wenlock Edge, and offering easy access to the Shropshire Hills National Landscape, this property makes it easy to step out and start exploring verdant countryside and medieval market towns. Historic Much Wenlock (1.5 miles) beckons with its period architecture, the remains of Wenlock Priory, and the popular Much Wenlock Museum along with plenty of local shops, pubs and tea rooms. More local history can be found at the National Trust’s Benthall Hall (5.5 miles), where picture-postcard gardens and rolling parkland await exploration. Visit Ironbridge (7.5 miles), where you'll find 10 museums to explore, or venture a little further to the county town of Shrewsbury (11 miles), Church Stretton (11 miles), and the market town of Ludlow (16 miles).

Before stepping into this characterful cottage, take a moment to savour its stone-built exterior and the far-reaching countryside views that set the scene for an unforgettable escape. The rural charm continues when you head inside and notice the exposed oak beams that combine with homely, modern comforts. Uncover the light-filled kitchen, which offers everything needed for cooking up holiday feasts. Enjoy each meal at the breakfast table in the kitchen, in the formal dining space, or alfresco out in the rear garden. Two steps down lead to the social heart of the home – the beautiful lounge/diner. Featuring exposed ceiling beams and a roaring wood burner, this is the ideal spot to unwind between your days of outdoor adventure. Here, sink into the soft seating, flick on the Smart TV, and swing open the garden doors on sunny days to let the fresh countryside air pour through. When it’s time to retire for the evening, two restful bedrooms offer a great night’s sleep. Choose from a flexible super-king-size bedroom that converts to a twin room on request, and a king-size bedroom. Serving the bedrooms and completing the property is a well-appointed family bathroom with a bath, separate shower, and WC.

When the sun shines, spill outside to the rear garden, which is laid to lawn. Possibly the nicest holiday cottage we have stayed at with lovely views of the countryside. The cottage is lovely and everything you could want whatever the weather. The amenities offered within the cottage include large smart tv offering sky along with Netflix along with dvd player (great selection of dvds to choose from) and play station 4 also wRead moreith numerous games. A good selection of books and board games are also provided. The coffee machine is superb and the kitchen has all you need. The cottage is on the outskirts of Much Wenlock which is a lovely little town with some goods pubs, cafes and shops as well a places of interest and some great walks. Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Ludlow, Oswestry and Ironbridge are all within a short drive. Karen and Geremy are to be commended on their helpfulness and making their cottage welcoming. Definitely will try and go back. Thank you both for a lovely stay. Hide
