Great cottage for a good base to explore the Forest of Dean (right across the road!) and further exploration of the Wye Valley only 25-30 minutes drive away. Kitchen is well equipped. Good space for family of 4. Backyard has bike racks. Nearest large Tesco in Cinderford is 30 minutes walk, or just 5 minutes drive. The small road (off the main road)Read more is very steep, werent quite used to that for parking the car, so a little tricky initially but we got the hang of it. Hide

Wonderfully quiet place, lovely views of the woods from front which basks in the sun later in the day, offering glorious supper sunset views. Sheltered sun trap back yard. Awesome shower, comfy beds & well equipped kitchen. Quickly warm for an old cottage. Ruspidge is a lovely village & walks into woodland are fabulous downhill from the door. CleanRead moreliness issues I'm sure will be addressed & perhaps very personal art choice changed - if not we just took it down & replaced it before leaving. Hide

A lovely, well equipped cottage in a good location. Check in with lockbox was easy. We were able to cook a meal in on each evening of our stay without too much trouble. We also enjoyed the table football in the garden room. Only let down by the significant amount of dust and cobwebs.
