The property is situated within 0.5 mile of the Derbyshire village of Ashford in the Water, which sits on the banks of the river Wye, north of Bakewell. With its medieval Sheepwash Bridge as its focal point, the village is full of character and includes a well-stocked village shop and pub. Walkers will enjoy exploring the contrasting scenery of the higher and wilder Dark Peak 13 miles to the north and the gently rolling limestone dales of White Peak 3 miles to the south.

Step into the spacious hallway which offers space to store coats and a handy bench to take a rest when taking off your boots. Wander through to the lounge which is another spacious room offering plenty comfortable seating, Smart TV and beautiful views from the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the beautiful surrounding countryside. Fire up the wood burner during chiller months as you come together with good company. The kitchen is a delight to cook in, and the light floods in from multiple windows which give you further opportunity to appreciate the views. There is an electric Range oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Dine together at the table with plenty space to get out your maps and plan the days hiking ahead. There are three bedrooms, two doubles and one twin. There is a bright and airy bathroom offering, bath, separate shower and WC.

Outside there is a raised terrace with outdoor dining furniture providing a stunning spot to sit and enjoy the summer sun. There is off-road parking for four cars.

We had a wonderful week at Park Farm, the house is beautiful and the views all around are stunning. Sarah was very welcoming and helpful. The village is a short stroll away, with two excellent pubs, and a lovely tea shop. Monsal Head is an easy walk from the house, with another great pub and tea shop. Matlock Golf Club is short drive away, and the Read moreboys were very impressed with the course. We'll definitely be back! Hide

The cottage is fabulous, well equipped, comfortable and very spacious. It's in a great location for walks in the local area and into Ashford in the Water and a short drive from Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. There's plenty of parking space and the views are amazing. Really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely cottage with great location. We had mixed weather during our stay but staying cosy in the lounge with the big window looking out into the countryside was really lovely. Clean. Kitchen had all the utensils we needed. Beds were comfy. .

Fantastic location with great views. Well equipped home with massive amounts of space. Great base for exploring the area. 5 mins drive into Bakewell. Lots of walks within close proximity. 10 mins walk uphill and can join directly onto monsal trail. Home is well equipped. Very warm, modern and clean. Highly recommend and will be returning in future.

Park Farm is a lovely spacious bungalow, with beautiful views across the countryside, in a very peaceful location. If you want somewhere to just kick back & relax, then sit in front of the wood burner in the winter, with a hot drink & a good book, this is the place for you. One the other hand, if you want lovely walks & places to visit, this is a gRead morereat base to do it from. It's very cosy & inviting & well equipped. You won't want to go home! Hide

A great cottage in a fantastic location. Set over one floor it was a great place for accessibility with some fantastic views from the property meaning it was a great base/ comfortable retreat in the heart of the peaks. The home was comfortable and nicely decorated. all amenities needed to make it a home-from-home. Close to Bakewell, Chatsworth and Read moreMonsal trail has two great pubs in the village and plenty of options of eateries and pubs around. Highly recommend Hossop cafe close by. Will be back! Hide

A beautiful clean cottage with stunning views In the peak district, we loved seeing the cows In the mornings saying hello in Moo language. The cottage is bright with having dual aspect and the kitchen is lovely and spacious, the pictures online don't do it justice, Wished we could have stayed longer than 3 days and we had sunshine, Bakewell is beauRead moretiful to visit and the bakewell tarts are to die for. Absolutely beautiful cottage. So spacious and comfy. lovely and clean, comfy beds and fab settees and chairs. Absolutely everything in the kitchen you would need. The views WOW! fabulous couldnt get better anywhere else. Perfect to sit out and relax, brilliant car parking space.
