Treat yourselves to artisan ice cream and Italian coffee, browse the crafts and gift ideas for sale from the wooden ‘pods’, and don’t forget the market is held every Sunday. Wander to Little Shore beach for a stroll around the pier and watch the fishing boats heading back with the daily catch. Walk along the banks of the River Coquet to neighbouring Warkworth to explore the medieval castle and hermitage before exploring the village shops and heading to the wonderful sandy beach. Spend a day visiting magnificent Alnwick Castle and Gardens (9.3 miles) and drive to Alnmouth (5.9miles) for another stunning beach on the river estuary and pretty village high street.

Step through the door of this detached, stone-built cottage to find a lovingly refurbished and welcoming holiday home from home. You will find coat hooks in the hallway before heading into the spacious lounge with two comfortable sofas where you can relax and unwind for the evening following your days exploring and playing on the nearby beaches. There is an electric wood burner-style fire set into the stone fireplace which adds to the cosy feel of the room, and a Smart TV and games for your entertainment. The well-equipped, contemporary kitchen is just off the lounge and has everything you need to prepare and cook your meals and a small, bespoke dining table with bench seating. The utility room is off the kitchen and houses the washer/dryer with a door leading to the patio garden and hot tub. This room is ideal for coming back in from the beach to dry off the dog and hang your walking gear. The attractive family bathroom is also on the ground floor with a shower over the freestanding bath and WC. Upstairs on the first floor, there are two bedrooms, each with plenty of storage space; a generous king-size bedroom with two bathrobes provided for use during your stay and a spacious twin bedroom.

Outside to the rear, there is an enclosed patio area laid with artificial grass where you can sit on the garden furniture to enjoy drinks or alfresco dining.
