Absolutely amazing stay,so peaceful. Beautiful,clean,cosy and relaxing shepherd's hut. Sheila and son Ollie were lovely and so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.Lots of recommendations for places to eat. Would love to stay again. Wouldn't change a thing.

Beautiful hut, very well furnished, excellent bed, very comfortable and cosy. Shower was excellent, plenty of hot water and really fluffy towels. Great location, no one around, just bird song and views. Only downside was 3 gates to get through on the way up to the hut and the decking was removed so nit as cosy outside as the pictures show. I would recomend the Shepherds retreat and as an ideal bolt hole . As a quite retreat from the stresses of modern living.

Ideal get away with everything you need, the Retreat was clean and welcoming. The decking has now been taken down which still shows in some pictures. Local shop had a good variety of items. Would go again in the warmer months. Gracie May the labrador enjoyed herself and I enjoyed the owls hooting to each other.

What a delightful Shepherd's Retreat! We had planned to sight-see as well, but it was so relaxing that we stayed put for the whole 5 days. A wonderful welcome from the owner, plus a delicious bottle of wine, cake, eggs etc. Listening to the owls in the evening with our two dogs, stargazing, sitting by the firepit, playing our instruments and generaRead morelly relaxing. Charming little shepherd's huts, warm, cosy and with all the facilities and equipment that you might need. No wifi but good phone signal for 4G. If you're looking for total peace and quiet then this is the perfect location to relax and unwind. Lovely views of The Black Mountains and surrounding countryside and just a short drive from some amazing mRead moreountain walks. Lovely location. Very friendly owners. Great extras like lemon drizzle cake, eggs, wine (which we didn't drink). Not enough dog walks where could let off lead. The hut was lovely, very well appointed, shower very good.

What a lovely cozy shepherds hut. It had everything I needed and in such a small space! There was tea, coffee and all the essentials there if needed. My dog and I just loved it. Unfortunately we did'nt get to sit outside and listen to the owls as it was a bit chilly. If you need to chill out and find yourself this is the place. A perfect getaway retreat set in beautiful countryside , the hut has a perfect view across fields and wooded hillside, behind the hut is a stunning mountain. An amazing little hideaway. The scenery and silence is so soothing and stunning. The welcome was wonderful and the wee treats left for us was a wonderful touch. Highly recommend. Cosy, comfy well equipped with beautiful scenery. Lovely to hear the owls at night and look up at the stars and wake up to the sound of birds singing. We loved it and so did our spaniel.

A lovely cosy property in a convenient location to visit the local area. The owners are really friendly and very easy to approach if necessary. The hut has all the amenities you need and the under floor heating was a hit with my two dogs whose bed was on the floor.

The directions given made the Hut easy to find and the welcome pack including a fab Lemon drizzle cake was really great. The owners were very welcoming and gave us details of the local shops and pubs, which we made use of. The Hut had everything we needed for our stay and the underfloor heating made sure that the temperature was always perfect for Read moreus. We loved our stay at The Shepherds Retreat. We booked so we could take our anxious dog somewhere he could feel comfortable and run free without being surrounded by outside noise and this was completely perfect. The outside area of the hut looks a little shabby,especially compared to the photos,we were told it was due to be replaced.The veranda can be slippery and the steps appear to be rotting and are wonky.The parking area has some significant dips in the gravel and,because it is uphill,was difficult to park.We needed a run-up to stop the wheels from spiRead morenning.The interior was lovely, warm, cosy and very well equipped. Lovely shepherds retreat in a quiet location, remote but not too much with a local pub within walking distance and a shop a few minutes drive away, ideal if you like not to be disturbed, very much recommended.

Couldn't have loved it more! The hut is perfect, the views amazing. Our elderly greyhound loved having the paddock to roam around at her leisure. Thank you for everything, Oliver, you were an absolute star!
